About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Gillette, WY is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. By offering comprehensive training and experiential learning opportunities, our fellowship empowers participants to become impactful educators and community leaders. The program emphasizes organic food system education, enabling Fellows to engage in initiatives such as growing and distributing diverse crops on sustainable farms, teaching food and ecological literacy in schools, and supporting local farmers markets. With no tuition fees, we ensure accessibility to all who wish to learn and make a difference. Selected Fellows participate in a six-month immersive residency at our collaborative farm campus, followed by a Community Action Year, during which they implement their knowledge with local non-profits to enhance access to healthy foods and foster community resilience. Applications are accepted annually until March, with the fellowship experience occurring from May to October.
