About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in Kinnear, WY, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators for an equitable food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. This unique program sponsors Fellows through a comprehensive training experience at Allegheny Farm, focusing on organic food systems and community empowerment. With no tuition fees, we ensure that the Fellowship is accessible to all. Participants engage in hands-on learning, cultivating diverse crops, running educational workshops for health initiatives, and maintaining community gardens, all while promoting food and ecological literacy. Fellows also support farmers markets and direct-to-consumer food programs, enhance access to nutritious food, and contribute to community food coalitions. After an immersive six-month residency at our farm, each Fellow embarks on a Community Action Year, partnering with local non-profits to apply their skills and knowledge. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
