About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in Lingle, WY, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship at the Allegheny Mountain Institute is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to champion a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program offers free tuition to ensure accessibility, focusing on organic food system education and practical experience. Fellows engage in a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, learning to cultivate and distribute diverse crops, implement educational health initiatives, and support school and community gardens. They also gain skills in food and ecological literacy, enhance farmers markets, and contribute to community food coalition activities. After this foundational training, Fellows participate in a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and make a meaningful impact. We invite aspiring advocates to apply by March for the opportunity to join us from May to October.
