About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Meeteetse, WY, empowers individuals to become advocates for equitable and sustainable food systems. Through comprehensive training in organic food practices, selected Fellows spend six months at the Allegheny Farm Campus, experiencing hands-on learning alongside peers. The Fellowship promotes accessibility by not charging tuition, allowing diverse participants to engage in vital education around food and ecological literacy. Applicants collaborate with local communities to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement health-focused educational sessions, maintain community gardens, and support initiatives like farmers markets and food coalitions. Following their immersive training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profit organizations to put their newfound skills into practice and inspire the next generation of food advocates. Applications are accepted until March for programs running from May to October each year.
