About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Mills, WY, is dedicated to empowering the next generation of food system advocates through comprehensive training and hands-on experience. This fellowship offers selected participants the opportunity to engage deeply in organic food system education and to implement impactful community initiatives. Fellows learn to grow and distribute diverse crops on market-style farms, facilitate innovative healthcare educational sessions, maintain community and school gardens, and foster food and ecological literacy within educational settings. By supporting local farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs, as well as developing distribution channels to enhance access to healthy foods, the Fellowship plays a vital role in fostering a just food system. Over the course of six months at the Allegheny Farm Campus followed by a Community Action Year, participants work alongside regional non-profit organizations to make a tangible difference in their communities. With no tuition fees, we prioritize accessibility, welcoming applicants through March of the application year to join us from May to October.
