About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
Based in Mountain View, WY, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders in sustainable agriculture. Through immersive training and hands-on experience at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, selected Fellows engage in organic food system education that emphasizes social, environmental, and economic justice. By providing tuition-free access to the program, we ensure that aspiring educators and advocates can participate without financial barriers. Our Fellows are empowered to grow and distribute diverse crops, lead educational initiatives, maintain community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy in schools. They also support farmers markets and create partnerships that enhance community access to healthy food. Over a six-month residency followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows apply their skills in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations, driving impact and fostering healthy food systems. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the Fellowship experience running from May to October.
