About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Riverton, WY is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders equipped to advocate for a just, sustainable, and resilient food system. Our program sponsors and trains Fellows to engage deeply with organic food system education while fostering community connections. Throughout the six-month experiential residency at our campus, participants gain hands-on experience in diverse agricultural practices, from growing and distributing crops on a market-style farm to maintaining school and community gardens. After this foundational training, Fellows enter a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to implement innovative health education, support local farmers' markets, and develop distribution channels that enhance access to healthy foods. We believe in making this journey accessible by offering the Fellowship at no tuition cost, ensuring that anyone passionate about changing the tide of food equity can join us in this vital work. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October, welcoming motivated individuals to step into this impactful role.
