About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Rock River, WY, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program empowers Fellows through hands-on training and education in organic food systems, with a strong emphasis on social, environmental, and economic justice. We provide an immersive, six-month residential experience at our campus, where selected Fellows learn to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement innovative health education sessions, and support community gardens. They engage in initiatives that increase access to healthy foods and participate in farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs. By collaborating with regional non-profit organizations during the subsequent Community Action Year, our Fellows put their training into practice, helping to transform their communities. We believe in making this opportunity accessible to all, offering the Fellowship with no tuition fees. Interested individuals can apply by March of the application year, with the program typically running from May to October.
