About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in Saratoga, WY, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship empowers aspiring leaders to advocate for a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. Through a tuition-free program, selected Fellows receive hands-on training in organic food system education at the Allegheny Farm Campus in Virginia. The Fellowship offers a transformative experience where participants engage in a wide array of initiatives such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health education, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. In addition to direct involvement with farmers markets and community coalitions, Fellows are encouraged to develop robust distribution channels to increase access to nutritious food. Following a six-month immersive learning experience, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and skills. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship running from May to October each year.
