Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Allegheny Mountain Institute (AMI) Sheridan, WY

About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in Sheridan, WY, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship empowers individuals to become advocates for a fair and sustainable food system through hands-on education and community engagement. This fellowship program focuses on training participants in organic food systems, allowing them to grow and distribute diverse crops on market-style farms, facilitate innovative health care educational sessions, and maintain community or school gardens. By integrating food and ecological literacy into local activities, supporting farmers markets, and developing distribution channels for healthy food access, our Fellows play a crucial role in strengthening community food systems. The program is tuition-free to ensure accessibility, with a six-month experiential residency followed by a Community Action Year, where Fellows apply their skills in collaboration with regional non-profits. Applications are accepted until March each year for the May to October fellowship experience.
