About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Shoshoni, WY, is dedicated to training and empowering future leaders in sustainable food systems. By sponsoring committed individuals to become teachers and advocates, the Fellowship promotes a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. We offer an immersive six-month experiential program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where selected Fellows engage in organic food system education and hands-on activities. Our program emphasizes the importance of accessibility by not charging tuition, enabling participants to grow and distribute diverse crops while implementing innovative health care education, maintaining school gardens, and integrating food and ecological literacy in educational settings. Furthermore, our Fellows actively support farmers markets and develop channels to improve access to healthy foods, culminating in a Community Action Year where they collaborate with regional non-profits to effect real change. The application process is open until March each year, with a transformative experience occurring from May to October.
