About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

Located in Story, WY, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship aims to cultivate a generation of leaders committed to building a fair and sustainable food system. Our program sponsors, trains, and empowers passionate individuals to become effective educators and advocates for socially, environmentally, and economically just practices within the food sector. We provide a tuition-free, hands-on learning experience at the Allegheny Farm, where Fellows engage in organic food system education and have the opportunity to work on various community projects. These projects include growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health care educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and teaching food literacy in schools. Throughout their six-month immersive experience, followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows apply their skills in collaboration with regional nonprofit organizations focused on enhancing access to healthy food through farmers markets and other initiatives. Applications are open until March, with the program running from May to October, ensuring broad accessibility for those eager to make a tangible impact.
