The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Thayne, WY, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically just. We provide our Fellows with comprehensive organic food system education without the burden of tuition, ensuring accessibility for all. During our six-month experiential program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, participants engage in hands-on learning and develop vital skills in sustainable agriculture. They will work on diversified market-style farming, lead educational initiatives in innovative healthcare, maintain community gardens, and promote food and ecological literacy within local schools. Our Fellows also actively support farmers markets and enhance access to healthy foods by creating distribution channels, while collaborating with community food coalitions. Following their immersive training, Fellows undertake a Community Action Year, applying their knowledge and skills in partnership with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March, with the experience running from May to October each year.
