About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Wamsutter, WY, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of advocates and educators committed to creating a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Our program empowers Fellows through comprehensive, hands-on training in organic food systems, ensuring accessibility by waiving tuition fees. Participants engage deeply with their communities, growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing innovative health education, and maintaining school and community gardens. By integrating food and ecological literacy into school curricula and supporting local farmers markets, our Fellows develop impactful distribution channels to enhance access to healthy foods. This immersive experience includes a rigorous six-month residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year where they collaborate with regional non-profits to apply their knowledge and skills. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the Fellowship running from May to October, inviting passionate individuals to join our mission of fostering resilient, equitable food systems.
