About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
Located in Yoder, WY, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a sustainable and equitable food system. Through a comprehensive program that marries experiential learning with community action, we empower Fellows to become leaders in organic food system education. Our initiative focuses on fostering social, environmental, and economic justice within our agricultural practices, ensuring that education is accessible by offering the Fellowship tuition-free. Over six transformative months at our campus, Fellows engage in hands-on activities such as growing and distributing diversified crops, facilitating innovative health education sessions, and managing school and community gardens. Participants also work to enhance food and ecological literacy in educational settings, bolster local farmers markets, and expand distribution access for nutritious food options. By the end of their Fellowship, they commit to a Community Action Year, applying their skills alongside regional nonprofit organizations. Applications are accepted until March, with the program commencing in May each year.
