Day 18: Psalm 102 - The God Who Remains

Take a moment to close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Then open your eyes and slowly read and pray today's psalm in the image above.
The first two verses address God in the midst of distress. Direct your prayer to God and ask him to respond.
In verses 3-7, the psalmist describes many physical afflictions and deep isolation. He feels like an owl among ruins and a bird alone on a roof (6-7), and he complains that his days are as short as grass withering in the sun (11). Describe your own complaint to God in your own words, knowing he can handle your honesty.
In verses 25-28, the shortness of life is contrasted with God's eternity. Hebrews 1:10-12 quotes most of these verses in praise of Jesus. Use them to thank God that Jesus, who is God with us, is also the eternal God who always remains the same. Conclude by praying through the entire psalm.
