Sex is a touchy topic for some people. I think younger generations are more likely to be open to discussing sex than older ones. Some parents just aren't comfortable with the reality of their child's sexuality. If your parents are unable to have honest conversations with you about sex, please seek out someone else to talk to. Friends, other family members, teachers, school guidance counselors, your doctor, a religious leader--whoever you feel comfortable with. It's important that you have a safe, non-judgmental place to explore your sexuality and you deserve support and compassion when you talk about this important & valid piece of your life!
