Depression and a failure

...See more I’m a 31-year-old man with no real serious dating experience, and I’m struggling with intense limerence/attachment toward a woman I know through work. I’m trying to handle this responsibly and keep it contained. But emotionally, it has become very painful. She is getting married in July, and that hurts more than I expected. I know she has her own life, her own relationship, and her own future. I know I’m not entitled to anything from her. But I still feel a deep sense of loss, jealousy, grief, and despair around it. Part of the issue is that she feels unusually significant to me. I see her as intelligent, logical, grounded, emotionally sharp, and hard to replace. I worry that I’ve idealised her, but the feelings still feel real. It makes me feel like no one else will compare, and that I’ve somehow missed my chance at something important. Has anyone felt like this? I just feel like a total loser.

...See more Hi there, there was this girl who I met at work and initially thought she was annoying, a try hard, and a irritant. However due to her kindness, beauty, care and compassion she really made a beautiful impression on my life and I always think about her. She has a fiancé, a house a dog and it just feels like her life is better than mine and is moving in a forward momentum while mine us vacant, tragic and in turmoil. I obviously won't share my feelings to her, but I've never ever been chosen in my life and she's been with with this guy since 14. We are now in our late 20s/30s. It just feel torturous and I don't believe I will ever find anyone like this in my life. She will be getting married in July and yeah it just hurts. We were really close and we cared about each other as friends. Me obviously deeper, I know this is pathetic, but I just wanted to share. I love her and I've never felt this before. Any advice?
