Need help finding psychologist.

...See more Hello, I have had a hard time talking to people my whole life. I barely ever leave my house, and I have had a hard time getting a job. I finally convinced myself to go talk to a doctor about my issue. My doctor is giving me anti-anxiety medication, and they also wanted me to find a psychologist. I have been having a hard time finding a psychologist though. I searched on my health insurance website, but there are barely any psychologists to choose from. Also, there is barely any information about the psychologists on my health insurance website. I have also tried looking on other sites for a psychologist, but most of them kinda suck. Many of those other sites also barely list any info, and they often times don't have any reviews on any of the psychologists. So, does anyone know of any good sites to look for psychologists on. I need to find a psychologist in my network, and I would prefer to get telehealth. I would also like to see reviews on psychologists. Thanks

Question about healthcare.

...See more Hello, I am 29 years old and I have social anxiety, depression, and OCD. I recently was filling out for healthcare on healthcare.gov, but I was unsure about something on the application. So, I thought maybe someone on this site could help me determine what I should do. There is a part of the application where they ask you if you are disabled. I wasn't sure if I should say yes because I have never actually been diagnosed with social anxiety, depression, or OCD by a doctor/therapist. I have never been labeled by anyone as disabled. I have never gone to or talked to a doctor/therapist about my issues before. I haven't had health insurance for a while, and I also have never had a job before. So, I was never really able to go to a doctor/therapist to talk to them about these things. So, should I say I am disabled or not? If I say I am what would happen then? Would they tell me I have to go get diagnosed? Would I officially be considered disabled? Are all of those issues that I have considered disabilities? Would saying that I am disabled help or hurt my chances of getting free healthcare? I have also heard that it is very difficult to get on disability for social anxiety. Is that true? I barely talk to anyone, never had a girlfriend, never had a job, barely ever leave my house, and I get nervous in most social situations. My depression has caused me to consider suicide numerous times in the past; I have never attempted it though. My OCD issue just causes me to waste a lot of time. I pace back and forth in a room a lot and touch certain things over and over as I pass them each time; I do that for hours sometimes. I just really need to get free healthcare so I can go to a doctor/therapist to get over my issues. So, could someone please help me determine what I should do. Thanks

...See more Hello, my name is Joe and I am 28 years old. I have social anxiety, depression, and OCD. I have no job, friends, money, car, or any kind of close relationships. I really want things to change in my life, but I don't know what to do to change everything. I have been trying to get a job for about the last 6-8 years. At first I was able to go to 3-4 job interviews, but I didn't do so well during them. Ever since then I have not been able to get any interviews. Sometimes I feel like applying for jobs is a waste of my time because I never even get any kind of responses from employers. The only time I do get responses are when the employers send me an e-mail telling me that I am not being considered for whatever job. That just causes me to get stressed out and depressed, and it makes me not want to even try anymore. I have mostly been applying to entry level jobs and I tried to get work from an employment agency. My mom even tried getting me a job at the place she works, but they don't want to hire me either. I don't know what else to do. I really am desperate for things to change. I live with my mom and she takes care of me. I am completely dependant on her. She is getting older now (she's about 68), and she has had numerous physical problems in the past. She has been to the doctor a number of times because of heart problems. She also has feet pain after coming home from work. Every single day I am thinking that she could die. It is constantly on my mind. If she was to die I have no idea what I would do. I really want to change things in my life, but everything I do seems to have no positive impact. My social problems make it hard for me to even do anything; I very rarely ever leave my house. I would like to also get some kind of therapy, but I can't afford it. I also don't have any kind of healthcare. I have tried getting it before, but I keep getting denied for some reason. People in my family know that I am quiet, but they act like it's not a big deal. When I tell them I have no job, they just act like its easy to get a job. I wish some of them would help me more, but they don't seem to understand the severity of my problems. I barely ever see most of the people in my family; the only time I see them is for birthday parties or holidays. There have been times in the past when I have considered committing suicide. I have never really attempted it, and the thoughts of doing it eventually go away. I almost feel like that will be my only option in the future if things don't change. I don't know what else I could possibly do to change things. It sucks that I want to change things, but I am just unable to do anything. No employers will give me a chance. Nobody I know will offer to help me even though I obviously need help. I don't know what else to do. I am just so scared and hopeless right now. I know if I feel this way for a few days that I will start to have suicidal thoughts again.

...See more Hello, I have written a few posts on the forums and created a few threads on this site; I was wondering how to view them. I know I could just bookmark them on my browser, but I haven't done that in the past. So, is there a way to find them. Thanks.
