...See more Hi guys! Most people have now started school so Ill be talking about tips on how to get your homework done faster + not procrastinate. No distractions -put your phone on silent -have a clear, organized work space -listen to music that helps you focus Do it with a friend -they can help keep you motivated -you can ask each other questions and help each other Dont do it at night -youll get tired and lose concentration if you do it at night -try do it right after school (or even try start it during school) Find a study place -somewhere comfortable, with no distractions -keep this area clean Remember to take breaks -water and snack breaks are important -stretch your legs and take a few minutes to destress Just try you best! Its better to do your homework to the best of your abilities then not at all. Especially if youre struggling in a subject, homework will help you improve. Have any homework/study tips? Fell free to share them with us!
Tackling Back To School Anxiety

...See more Heyo, Im back! Hope everyone had a great weekend. Today I will be talking about how to feel more relaxed and less anxious for back to school. -Get enough sleep I know, literally any post youve ever read about health in any way, shape or form has probably mentioned getting enough sleep. Well, its because sleep is actually very helpful and beneficial to your nervous system. Of course decreasing anxiety isnt as simple as a good bedtime routine and 9 hours of sleep, but it definitely helps. -Do something you enjoy Whenever all the anxious thoughts come poking in, try distract them by doing one of your favourite hobbies. I like to play ukulele and sing. This activity can be anything; writing, reading, karate, you name it! Its a good temporary distraction from anxiety. -Get some sun exposure Vitamin D deficiency can contribute to anxiety, so lets soak up the sun before the summer ends. -Exercise I personally have too much anxiety to go run outside or go to a gym, too much people for me. So I do some 5 minute workouts in my bedroom throughout the day (easy things like jumping jacks, squats, crunches). Even the slightest amount of exercising can help reduce stress. -Remember the positives of school Soon you will be graduating and you will be thankful for the good grades youve gotten. School is there to prepare you for your amazing future. Thank you for reading!

...See more Hey everyone! Im back to go more in-depth into the world of goal setting and to educate you on what a SMART goal is, and how you can set one. SMART goals is an acronym for: -Specific -Measurable -Attainable -Relevant -Time-based Specific: The best goals are well-defined and focused. When you focus on a goal it will become a magnet, pulling you to it. The more focused your energies, the more power you create. Measurable: Make you you know how you will feel, what you will see when youre goal is accomplished. Break down you goal into measurable elements. Defining the physical manifestations can make your goal much clearer and easier to reach. Attainable: Far too often people will set extremely unreasonable goals to achieve overnight. Dream big and shoot for the stars but, make sure you keep one foot planted firmly in reality. Relevant: Makes sure you really want this goal and that its relevant to you. Time-based: Put concrete numbers in your goal to make sure you're on track. If you set a goal and put up completion date on it you'll probably procrastinate and never get it done. Writing your goals on post-its or on a whiteboard will be a nice daily reminder to keep you focused on your goal. how to set SMART goals: When going to set SMART goals, ask yourself lots of questions (what do I want to achieve, how can I achieve it, how long will it take, etc), the answers will help fine-tune the goal. Remember to go about this with a positive attitude. After all, this is something you want to achieve that will benefit your future. Hope you guys like this method of goal setting and it goes well! What goal setting methods do you use?
Finding Motivation For Back To School

...See more Its that time of year again, where everywhere we look theres a back to school advertisement. I know we all have had that feeling of dread when seeing them and trying to keep the start of school as far away as possible. Well, today I have some tips to make your transition from the summer sun, back to school a little more doable. Get cute supplies: This one might not be for everyone but for me personally, it helps me a lot. Ever since Ive been getting aesthetically pleasing school supplies, Ive taken much prettier notes which helps me learn a lot better. I usually get a lot of my cute supplies from the Dollar Tree since there are some really nice finds there. Set short term goals: A short term goal is a goal you would like to achieve in the near future, some examples of short term goals are; getting over 70% on all your science work in the first semester of school, getting all your things to school and organized within the first week, planning a fall morning/ night school routine. This goal can be really anything that you feel is necessary for helping to motivate you. Set long term goals: A long term goal is a goal that you would like to achieve by the end of the school year, some examples include; getting an award that your school might offer (such as honour awards), handing in all your homework in on time, or passing all your classes. Once again, this goal can be anything that you think will motivate you to do your best in the 2019/2020 school year! I will be back later this week to go more in-depth about short/long term goals and SMART goals and how to write them. Feel free to share some of your goals with us, there are no wrong answers!
