Aegosexuality and some questions

...See more I've just recently started to think about my lack of sexual attraction to other people. I have never enjoyed sex with another person, but I know I liked the attention I got out of it so I have had quite a few sexual encounters. I was raised in a very heteronormative household and community, so whenever I didn't like sex with one person my friends would tell me that that person just want the right one, and I'll feel differently with someone else. I have always considered myself someone with a high sex drive, and I do masturbate frequently. But I have never felt that same amount of arousal as soon as there is another person involved. I did some research and I think Aegosexuality seems to almost perfectly describe me. My issue is that I don't mind people doing sexual things to me, but I have never wanted to do anything to anyone else. Up until now, I have only had cis-het male partners. I do reciprocate for the sake of my partners, and especially with my current (and first) girlfriend, but I have never wanted to or felt aroused by doing something sexual to someone else. Is there a term for this? Is this relatively normal for asexual people? Or everyone? Does anyone else feel this way? Also, how have other asexual people coped with being asexual? I have always felt so jealous seeing other people's reactions to sexual pleasure, things I have never and will probably never experience. I want to feel those things, I want to be sexually attracted to other people, but I dont and Im not and I never have been. I dont know how to come to terms with how my body is when Ive seen all of my sexual partners experiencing so much more pleasure than I ever could.

Boyfriend broke up with me out of the blue

...See more We hadnt been dating very long, only about 2.5 months or so. It was one of those relationships that moved quickly but felt like we had known each other for years and just felt right and unlike anything else I have ever experienced. I left to go on a 4 day trip to visit family. The weekend before I left, we were supposed to go camping but he was sick so I spent the weekend taking care of him. We hung out the night before I left, and everything was completely normal. He was sad I was leaving (we were still spending as much time together as we possibly could) but excited for me to see family. On my drive to see my family, we were chatting over the phone like normal and being all lovey dovey. And then the next day he barely texted me at all, seemed to not really care about anything I was saying or sending him. That night after he got off work, I told him that it made me sad that he seemed so distant and asked what was going on. And he broke up with me. I had no idea it was going to happen and all he could say was something switched and he couldnt control it and had no other choice. I still have no idea what happened. Just a week ago he was talking about how excited he was that this was happening, talking a bit about the future (within reason for a 2.5 month relationship) and was the most loving boyfriend I have ever had or met. I miss him like crazy and Im so mad at the situation. I just want to get over it because I dont think he even deserves my sadness over it all.

People always talk over me

...See more It doesnt matter who it is, friends, family, acquaintances, coworkers. Everyone talks over me ALL. THE. TIME. It makes me feel so small and unimportant in all of my relationships with everyone. I am not soft spoken, and I feel like I must be incredibly uninteresting for literally everyone in my life to feel the need to speak in the middle of my sentences as if I wasnt talking. I dont get to finish stories or thoughts I have more often than I do get to finish them. Its so frustrating and I think a lot of my self esteem issues come from this. I dont know how to fix it. Im so frustrated and feel like I dont matter to anyone. Do I stand up for myself? Call people out when they talk over me? How do I do that without being rude? What else can I even do? Ive even tried talking to close friends about it but it still happens all the time even with them. I have people who I am very close to and who seek my company and want to spend time with me, but I dont understand why when Im never able to fully express any of my thoughts unless I am directly asked something by someone and am given the floor.
