I thought this might be a novel approach to self help. Just an adjunct not a panacea, it seems like a nice alternative to social media. I learn by reading other folks and have learned we really all want and need the same things, to be heard.

...See more Having had trauma over the years, and acute trauma recently, I recently removed my spiritual crutches and references from my visual centers. Some went into the garbage, others I tucked back into jewelry boxes. Since having the trauma I started looking inward rather than up. I viewed more things as dumb luck rather than divine. I am feeling rebirthed and more introspective. Faith in myself instead of faith in external. I'm rebirthing into agnostic athiest. There should be no apologies for doing so. Things are clearer and make more sense by not wondering "why". I found by asking "why" in regards to believing in a higher power, that it was almost impossible to have faith. By not believing and nit asking why, life makes more sense. I'm 65, not 25..so it seems it's something that has evolved for many years

...See more I believe arhiests and agnostic are silenced by the masses. Almost like the emperors new cloths. Or a Multi level marketing company that tells you , you are the reason why their over priced product no one wants, doesn't sell. When in fact it's their leash to keep blaming you for not being productive. Ever notice, those who say "life sucks" are silenced, labeled as nuts, and fed anti depressants? Ever wonder if we are just (for lack of a better term) slaves, to be productive, fall in line and keep the machine running? If you dint you are given a pill. Conclusion? Look at the animal kingdom...they kill , they eat, they torture, they kill for fun. And the only penalty is nature allows them to live or die. No one forces them to conform or medicated them. That is strictly a human behavior. So....does atheism upset the apple cart of order? Is that why athiests are silenced along side those who point to the nakedness king and say it?

...See more Yes..I've always been agnostic, athiest..I recently survived a traumatic event. I'm now a deeply rooted agnostic. It didn't convert me into a believer. I've had repeated trauma over the years...but..sadly...it mostly has turned me off to any belief. My family is pretty much the same..my sister's very much agnostic athiests. Physical abuse history and for me..repeat Physical traumas. I'm not of martyr mentality. So please do share your experiences here..I think we can all learn from each other...

...See more But to be totally honest I feel justified in being mad, feeling abandoned and coming to terms with my athiesm being accurate. People are afraid for me, but I have no fear . I should have died but did not. I sick of takers, so I'm not giving any longer. For this people tell me I have a problem...hmm..lol..no problem here. I think those who say I need to talk to someone need more help..they are ex druggies and alcoholics. They have their escapes...it's sober ones like me with no escape
