Hi! I like anime, pokemon and I do digital art! Currently struggling with overcoming self harm urges following a relapse after 6 years... I thought I was managing fine on my own but it's getting progressively worse so maybe I don't need to handle it alone haha

...See more I got really overwhelmed a few days ago and didn't want to feel like I was burdening anyone I knew so I texted the crisis like. They distracted me for 3 hours...I didn't relapse. Sometimes, a distraction is all you need.

...See more My dream job started becoming a nightmare 3 years ago. Foolishly I stayed, hoping things would get better....they got progressively worse. Last year around September,  my department was eliminated so they moved me to a different position.  I'm glad to still be employed but my new role is a living ***. I didn't get any proper training, my new boss is always disappointed in me and people are getting laid off so I'm wearing multiple hats and not getting compensated for it..I finally caved and started applying for jobs. I got an offer letter for one that pays almost double what I currently make. That should be exciting right? Well now I have imposter syndrome and feel like I don't deserve it and that I'll fail and get fired early on...I know I shouldn't be negative about it but idk...Maybe I'm just burned out

...See more I managed to make it 3 weeks without self harming. It's getting better. The urges are becoming less frequent and less intense. The first week was awful and riding out urges felt nearly impossible. But ever since I started sharing some of the emotional weight with my best friend, it's felt lighter.  I'm trying my best to avoid making her my "therapist". I don't tell her I'm having urges when I reach out...I just make light conversation until it goes away and I've noticed, now my first instinct when I feel overwhelmed is to text her literally anything opposed to wanting to cut. Lol I feel like I'm rewiring my brain or something

...See more I relapsed after 6 years of being free from SH. I was 5 weeks free and then I failed again about 2 weeks ago so the count has restarted. I had been isolating and trying to deal with everything on my own... I finally accepted that being alone with it was making it worse. Anyway, I've opened up about it to a few close friends and my best friend has been checking in pretty often and encouraging me to share the stuff that stresses me out. I've been feeling alot better lately...my scars are healing and I feel a weird emptiness about it that makes me want to continue...I know that's not a smart or kind decision.  Anyone else feel weirdly sad as the scars fade? And how do you deal with it?

...See more Idk what the heck happenes after 25 but it's crazy how things you used to do affect you so different now. I used to be able to put my head down and grind. Ignore feelings,  pain, people and work endlessly. Now I hit burnout like crazy... give me back that early 20s stamima!
