Is there light after the start

Like the clouds after they part?

No, the end, the end

Is it written in the sand?

Is it slipping through your hands

Like a dream that never ends?

So my friend, my friend

Are the walls still closing in?

The time and time again?

These are words from a broken friend

...See more So, I'm gonna start this thread with a little bit of back story, as it's been a while since I've posted here. I downloaded this app nearly a year ago to ask for help regarding my wife and her behavior. I have been with my wife for 10 years come August, married for 4 of those years. We have a young son, 5 years old, who deserves nothing but the best for him. I have gone through multiple classes, anger management, therapy, a dietitian, and even a marriage councilor. I have requested that she do some of the same (outside of marriage counciling) as I believed it would help our relationship, but she refused. She has stopped taking care of our son, and herself. We both work, but when I'm gone and she's supposed to be watching him (homeschooling, cooking, helping with chores, etc) she gives him a video game console, tells him to leave her alone, and goes to sleep until roughly 10-15 minutes before I'm supposed to return from work. She also sleeps roughly 8-9 hours a night so lack of sleep isn't exactly a concern to my knowledge. I have taken some responsibility to help her with these issues and have began watching my son even more frequently (even losing some of my own sleep to help her out.) She has also lost interest in taking care of herself, stopped bathing, brushing her teeth, and wearing clean clothes (sometimes wearing clothing for up to 5 days in a row) I have raised these concerns on this group before, and was told to help her with her responsibilities and help her seek counciling, which I have insisted she do, all of which she absolutely will not do, she has declined again and again, and I'm coming to a breaking point. I love her, and I love my son, and that's why I can't watch her go down this path, she's had a tooth fall out, she's began ignoring our son, and she won't acknowledge that she's doing any of this. I feel like I'm going crazy, and I can't tell if I'm just not able to see something here. I've discussed separation, it's the last thing I want but I feel like I can't continue on like this. My son deserves better. I just didn't want to admit that "better" might have meant his parents split up. Thank you for reading, I appreciate the support.

...See more Hello friends, been a while since I've posted, as I had believed my problems had been solved. But here's another one for you. My wife of 3.5 years, and partner for 10, has recently had a complete change in behavior. We had been having marital problems that had driven many issues in between us, she had been picking on our now five year old son, and just being generally rude to him. She had also stopped taking care of herself, brushing teeth, taking showers, etc. She's now doing a little better with that, but now she's made a comment, and a coworker of hers has made a comment, that really bothered me, but before I continue, some more back story. When we had began dating in high school, it lasted about a year, then she had cheated on me with another man, I left her, and we were separated for almost two and a half years, we reconnected, and rekindled that flame, years later, here we are. Back to the present. We had originally been joking around, saying some playful things that typically don't end in a fight, well, in the middle of it, she got stone faced, and said that I'm "better than the alternative". Which left me confused, and just felt off, but I brushed it off and continued about my day. So about a week ago, she was running late for work, so I packed mine and her son into the car, and we left. She made it there on time, but our son said he wanted to go in and say hello, so we did, and ordered some food. While we're waiting, one of her coworkers approached, asked who I was, and she introduced me as her husband. Her coworker then says "is this the one who bought your son those pokemon cards or was that the other-" and sort of trailed off. To make my anxiety even worse, she has been texting another coworker very frequently, and it all just feels a bit odd that she texts him so frequently. Am I being paranoid about the past? Are there any red flags to anybody else? I'd like some outside perspective here. Thank you in advance.

...See more My partner and I have been together going on nine years. We have a four year old son, so just leaving isn't exactly an option, and I do love my partner, so leaving isn't exactly what I want to do either. This being said, my partner (25F) has stopped bathing, and eating nutritious foods, and is even neglecting the responsibilities of having a child. He will go the entire day that she watches him without eating, and he'll go a few days without a bath (I leave for work before bathtime, so I wasn't giving him one for a few months, minus my weekends I got to actually spend some time with him.) And she picks on him, a bit more than what you'd think would be appropriate. She makes him cry sometimes with the things she does. I can understand stress, depression, and other disorders, I've been through these things before. But is there something I'm missing? I would normally ask my best friend these sorts of questions, but the last time we talked about it, she got really emotional because she was worried about my own mental health. I need a logical answer, rather than an emotional one, so, that being said, here I am. Thank you in advance.
