Hi ~Just a human being 🌿

Currently not accepting new members unless I initiate the chat myself. My old members can still message.💚

I only take chats in the categories listed on my profile. These are the topics I'm most familiar with. I will refer you to other wonderful listeners if I sense I can't be of help.❤️

Hello dear member! I know how hard it can be to reach out to someone whom you barely know, and trust them with your life, your stories, and your problems. I'm very much honored to be that person, and I treasure it very much. I want to create a space for you where you can talk about absolutely anything! without the fear of judgement (yes, I mean it-- I will never ever judge, I'm not perfect either right?!). And let's be honest, that space is what many of us crave the most. Because I believe sometimes what we really need is a space to pour our thoughts and emotions, to cry freely, and to brainstorm ideas for improvement. I appreciate your strength to have come this far in life, cheers to more years with much more happiness and peace!

Anxiety Check-in ~ Mid February✨

...See more Hello hello wonderful humans! I hope February is being gentle with you. My apologies for not posing a thread in a while, it's been hectic💚 but, let's get back to having a check-in!  1. On a scale from 0–10, what’s your anxiety level right now? (0 = completely calm, 10 = extremely overwhelmed) 2. Where do you feel it in your body? (Chest? Stomach? Throat? Jaw? Shoulders?) 3. What is your anxiety mostly about today? 4. How much are you overthinking today? 5. If your anxiety had a voice, what would it be saying? 6. What is one small thing you handled well today? (Even something tiny counts.) Bonus question:  “If this February I treated myself with the same love, patience, and effort I’d give to someone I deeply care about, what would I start doing differently every day?”

Not All Longest Nights Belong to the Sky
Anxiety Support / by daydreammemories
Last post
January 23rd
...See more Hello hello wonderful humans! I hope your days go as smoothly as possible💚 Happy holidays and Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating🎉🙂 Last Sunday was the longest night of the year for many of us. In Persian, this night is celebrated as "Yalda". Yalda Night is known as the longest night of the year — a moment we can measure, predict, and mark together. We know exactly when it starts and when it ends. Historically, it symbolized the victory of light over darkness and hope over hardship. Families gather to stay awake through the night, trusting that after the longest darkness, the days would begin to grow longer again. ✨ But life has its own longest nights. There are nights that don’t follow astronomy or calendars. Nights of loss, anxiety, depression, uncertainty, illness, or waiting. Nights where time feels stretched, where the idea of “morning” feels distant or irrelevant. Nights that don’t end with sunlight, gatherings, or tradition. This post is about acknowledging those nights. The ones we don’t name. The ones we endure silently. The ones that feel endless not because of the sky, but because of what we are carrying. Yalda reminds us that darkness passes. But it also invites us to ask harder questions about the darkness we live through. ⁛What has been the longest night of your life? ⁛What made it feel endless? ⁛Did you have support, or did you carry it alone? ⁛What helped you get through — or are you still in it? ⁛And when you imagine “morning,” what does that actually mean for you? (Kindly please add trigger warning if necessary!) (Please use your member account to answer and your listener account for supportive replies)

✨Vision vs. Reality: When Every Plan Invites a Plot Twist You Didn’t See Coming✨
Anxiety Support / by daydreammemories
Last post
November 24th, 2025
...See more Hello wonderful humans!💚 I hope you're all doing okay, and life's been going as smoothly as possible! 😊 We’re back with yet another discussion!– This time the sequence of the last discussion, where we talked about planning. You can find the thread here [https://www.7cups.com/forum/anxiety/General_2428/InnerDialogueWhenDoesPlanningTurnfromPreparationintoPressure_368355/]! (This post is inspired by and in collaboration with the lovely @SparkyGizmo, a big shoutout to them! Let us begin!) ------------------------- 1. The Expectation: A Perfectly Crafted Plan There’s a special kind of hope that fills the air when you finally sit down and make a plan. The calendar is clean, the tasks are reasonable, and for a brief, shining moment, you believe you’ve unlocked adulthood. You look at your schedule and think, Yes. This. This is the day everything goes right. It’s adorable, really. -------------------------  2. The Reality Check: Life Clears Its Throat Then comes that subtle shift — the kind you can almost feel. Maybe it’s your phone buzzing with a “quick favor.” Or a last-minute message that throws off your timing by 5 minutes… which somehow derails your entire morning. It’s life’s way of whispering, “I see you’ve made a plan. Cute. Let me add a little something.” -------------------------  3. The Classic Interference: Traffic, Rain, and Other Personal Attacks You’d think the universe would at least pick a struggle, but no — it prefers combo attacks. You’re in a hurry? Traffic triples. You go for a walk to clear your head? Clouds gather like they’ve been waiting for this exact moment. You’re finally disciplined enough to start something important? Boom — the Wi-Fi is suddenly on annual leave.  It’s so perfectly mistimed that you start asking: Why does everything go “wrong” right when I start trying? ------------------------- 4. Possible Reasons: Why Our Brains Make It Feel Worse? ⁂Mindset Shapes Experience – If you’re already stressed, you notice every red light. If you’re calm, the same delay becomes a chance to breathe. And if we’re being honest, we only remember the days when our plans fall apart — we never think about the days traffic was light, or it didn’t rain, or everything quietly worked out without drama. No one keeps statistics on the disasters that never happened. (Negativity Bias) ⁂ Adaptability is Key – Learning to adjust doesn’t mean giving up. It means knowing when to bend, when to wait, and when to create something new instead of fighting the same wall over and over. Some of the world’s greatest inventions came from people who refused to adjust. And some of the world’s calmest, happiest people came from learning exactly when to adapt. ⁂Complaining vs. Creating – Complaining changes nothing. Adapting changes you. And inventing changes the world. Life isn’t predictable, and it’s definitely not tidy — but maybe that’s the part that keeps it interesting. Maybe the plot twists aren’t problems to solve, but directions to consider. Maybe the universe isn’t working against your plans. Maybe it’s just rerouting them. ⁂Perception vs. Reality – Our brains often make small setbacks feel bigger than they are. The Spotlight Effect makes us think everything revolves around us, and the disappointments feel worse when plans don’t go perfectly. The result? Ordinary delays feel catastrophic, even though most days are actually fine. ⁂Timing Might Be Protection – Maybe the traffic wasn’t an attack — maybe leaving five minutes earlier would’ve put you in the middle of the accident you’re now crawling past. Maybe the rain wasn’t an insult — maybe it was a gentle reminder to slow down, breathe, or let your mind wander for the first time all day. Maybe the job you thought you wanted wasn’t meant for you because something better was waiting, even if you couldn’t see it yet. Some people call it fate, others call it God, karma, intuition, coincidence, or just the natural rhythm of life. We all have our own explanation, our own lens — and the lens you choose matters. (Karma’s a relaxing thought - Taylor Swift) -------------------------  5. The Takeaway: Plan, But Leave Some Air in the Edges Create structure. Map your vision. Leave wiggle room — for chaos, coincidences, reroutes, and timing that doesn’t make sense. You make the blueprint. Life handles the editing. ------------------------- Questions: 🍀Why do you think plans fall apart more on the days we need them most? 🍀What’s the funniest or most ridiculous plot twist life has thrown at your plans recently? 🍀How do you balance planning with letting things unfold naturally? 🍀How does your mindset influence what you notice when things don’t go as planned? 🍀When do you choose to adapt—and when do you choose to create a solution instead?

...See more Hello hello wonderful humans. Here's our check-in for November, let's catch up each other on how we're doing!💚 You can answer any or all of the questions-- or just say hi! (: 🍂1. How are you doing these days, and how has your anxiety levels been? Any news or updates you want to share with us? 🍂2. What's the main thought looping in your mind right now? 🍂3. Do you feel in control of the environment or the things happening around you? How do you think you can improve that?  🍂4. Where do you usually feel anxiety in your body? And what helps when that happens? 🍂5. What do you think you need the most: rest, distraction, grounding, silence, comfort or connection? 🍂6. What's one thing you wish someone would say or do for you at this moment? (We're halfway through November, so it doesn't count much as "Hello November", but just thought the picture is cozy!)

✨Inner Dialogue: When Does Planning Turn from Preparation into Pressure?✨
Anxiety Support / by daydreammemories
Last post
January 21st
...See more Hello wonderful humans!💚 How's November treating you? I hope you had fun on Halloween🎃👻 Today I want to raise a discussion which I've encountered pretty often. How is it that sometimes planning or making a to do list makes us feel more overwhelmed, rather than organized?! Let's dive right into it! ------------------------- 💙The Comfort of a To-Do List There’s something oddly satisfying about planning. The smell of a new notebook. The neat bullet points. The illusion that if you just organize everything perfectly — life will fall into place. You sit down on Sunday night, coffee beside you, pen in hand. You map out your entire week — study sessions, workouts, goals. For a brief moment, you feel powerful, calm, in control. Until you don’t. Somewhere between page two and reality, that perfect plan starts to feel heavier. Every unchecked box looks like a failure. Every change feels like chaos. Suddenly, you’re not following your plan — you’re being chased by it. ------------------------- 💚Why Planning May Be Causing You Anxiety? A common theme from people is that they are hesitant to plan and put things down in writing because it instantly makes them feel confined.  Also, for some people, planning can instantly invite worry to set in because they might feel like a failure if their plans don’t work out exactly the way they are supposed to. And when this happens, it’s easy to go down a dangerous rabbit hole. Anxiety over what will happen if your plans go wrong can quickly escalate. Let's discover more about this!🍀💚 ------------------------- 💛Why Does Planning Cause Anxiety? 1. The Illusion of Control We plan to feel safe and in control. But life rarely follows our plans. When things don’t go as expected, we feel like we’ve failed — even if we haven’t. This false sense of control makes planning stressful instead of helpful. 2. The Fight-or-Flight Reaction When we’re anxious, our brain goes into survival mode — fight, flight, or freeze. In that state, it’s hard to think clearly or make good decisions. Planning while anxious often leads to unrealistic goals or feeling too overwhelmed to even start. 3. Perfectionism Many of us think that if we make a plan, we have to follow it perfectly. But when real life gets in the way, it feels like we failed. This pressure turns planning into something scary instead of something useful. 4. Confirmation Bias Sometimes we get stuck on how we think things should go. We ignore what’s actually happening and only see what fits our plan. Being flexible — and willing to adjust — helps reduce that stress and keeps us grounded in reality. 5. Past Failures If our old plans didn’t work out, we might start believing that planning just “doesn’t work” for us. That fear makes it harder to try again. But failed plans don’t mean you failed — they just need more flexibility. 6. Decision Overload Too many choices or long to-do lists can drain your energy. Instead of feeling ready, you feel stuck before you even begin. Keeping plans short and simple helps avoid that mental overload. ------------------------- 💜How to Rethink Planning? 1. The Illusion of Control We plan to feel safe. But life doesn’t always follow the plan — and when it doesn’t, we panic. Remember: planning helps guide you, not control everything. 2. Over-planning = Overwhelm Trying to plan every minute makes your brain feel trapped. Keep it simple. Focus on what matters most instead of making endless lists. 3. Perfectionism Trap You don’t need a “perfect” week. Plans are tools, not tests. If things change, adjust — just like a GPS reroutes. 4. Stress Hijacks Your Logic When you’re anxious, your brain goes into fight-or-flight. That’s not the best time to plan — take a breath first, then think clearly. 5. Make Planning Support You Use calm visuals: light colors, short lists, or blocks of “unavailable time.” A relaxed-looking plan = a relaxed mind. 6. Start Small: Don’t plan everything. Pick 2–3 weekly goals. Use time blocks (morning, afternoon, evening). Leave white space for rest and surprises. ------------------------- ✨Planning should give you direction — not pressure. ✨It’s about creating space for what matters, not squeezing everything in. ✨Planning isn’t the enemy — it’s just a guide, a soft structure that helps you move forward. ✨It’s not about predicting every turn, but about giving yourself room to breathe, to change, and to grow. The best plans are living things — flexible, forgiving, and shaped by real life, not rigid rules. So maybe the goal isn’t to plan perfectly — but to plan kindly. ------------------------- ✨Questions: ⁂What if your plan didn’t have to be flawless to be useful? ⁂Are you planning to move forward — or to stay in control? ⁂What would your week look like if you left space for surprises? ⁂Do plans usually reflect who you are, or who you think you “should” be?

✨Embracing Complexity: Things that can Co-Exist✨
Anxiety Support / by daydreammemories
Last post
October 30th, 2025
...See more Hello wonderful humans! How have you been? I hope your spooky month has been going smoothly so far.💚 ⁂So, I’ve been thinking a lot about my thinking style lately (yes, you could even call it overthinking!), and I’ve realized that in many situations, our thoughts can subconsciously slip into black-and-white patterns — the so-called “binary mindset” — where everything feels like either 1 or 0.    ⁂You struggle with a single problem, and suddenly you find yourself fearing that you’ve lost all your skills. We can feel and be many things at once. Feelings are not mutually exclusive! 💙After searching a while on the topic, here’s is what I’ve found: ⁂The idea that "Two Opposite Things Can Be True at the Same Time" can really change how someone thinks about life and healing. This concept isn’t just an idea; it can be a helpful tool for people dealing with challenges like depression. When someone is struggling with depression, they often see the world in a very limited way, thinking only in black and white, right and wrong, good and evil. This way of thinking doesn’t allow for the many shades of grey that usually reflect real life.     ⁂The same goes for toxic relationships. It’s hard to admit that someone we love might be hurting us. We swing between love and pain, making excuses to stay instead of leaving. But accepting that we can love someone and still know they’re toxic to us is the only way to finally let go. ⁂Before diving into the examples, it can help to picture a Venn diagram. A Venn diagram shows how two different things can overlap, highlighting both their differences and their shared space. This is a perfect visual for the idea that opposite emotions or qualities—like fear and courage, or grief and joy—can coexist, influencing each other and shaping our experience. 🧡Things that can coexist: 1. Growth and Mistakes: Growth isn’t linear — Accepting mistakes as part of the process can build resilience and keeps us learning. 2. Anxiety and confidence/ Resilience: Confidence comes from handling anxiety. It grows when we face our anxiety, not when we get rid of it. 3. Accountability and Self-Forgiveness/ Remembering and Forgiving: You can take yourself accountable and learn, and still be able to forgive yourself. It can also apply to our interactions with others! 4. Ambition and Contentment: Too much ambition causes burnout; too much contentment leads to stillness. 5. Vulnerability and Strength: Vulnerability can seem like a weakness, yet it’s also a strength that fosters connection, empathy, and authenticity. 6. Grief and Joy: It’s possible to laugh while carrying loss. Even in times of loss, we can still feel moments of happiness, love, and gratitude. 7. Fear and Courage: You can be scared, but show up anyways. Sometimes, even acknowledging the fear and taking the needed actions is a deep source of courage. 8. Detachment and Care: You can stay emotionally balanced and prioritize self-care, while still showing love and concern for others. 9. Direction and Doubt: You can know where you’re going and still question every step. 10. Being strong and Needing help: Asking for help doesn’t make you weak—it shows courage and wisdom. ※The theme of “Things That Can Co-Exist” shows that life is full of complexity. Growth comes from mistakes, anxiety can build confidence, and accountability works best with self-forgiveness. We also see the value of ambition and contentment, and vulnerability and strength. Accepting these contradictions helps us handle life’s challenges and live with more balance, understanding, and success. ※Some feelings don’t cancel each other out. They sit side by side, learning how to breathe together. Healing isn’t about choosing one feeling over the other, it’s about learning how to hold space for both.     🧡Questions! 👻1. Can you think of a time when you felt two opposite emotions at the same time? How did it feel? 👻2. How can knowing that things like fear and courage, or grief and joy, can exist together help us deal with life’s challenges? 👻3. Which pair from the passage (like ambition and contentment, or vulnerability and strength) do you relate to most, and why? 💜Recourses: https://medium.com/@kkanch3/two-opposite-things-can-be-true-at-the-same-time-fefa11731b01 https://smartlifeskills.co.uk/embracing-complexity-things-that-can-co-exist/ ShoutOut to the amazing @AnnaSilverberg for covering the topic on their cute series "Tea and Talk with Pete and Malu". You can find their post here [https://www.7cups.com/forum/gratitude/TeaTalkwithPeteMalu_2696/Thoseoppositeemotions_367216/]!
