Friends with my ex after two years of NO CONTACT

...See more Guys, I need to get something off my chest. Two years ago, my friends I produced to a friend of theirs. We grew fond of each other and started dating, but we jumped in too quickly. We dated for 8 months and while we had good times, we had things we needed to work on. He told me after 8 months that he was never ready fir a relationship and that I deserved better. He told me he didn't want me to feel like he wasted my time. I accepted his decision but explained that I was hurt and had to block him to recover. But...I never did. Two years later I still thought about him, I finally unblocked him and he decided to request me on media. We became friends and I thought I was over things, but I found out he's talking to someone new and I'm hurt about it. I shouldn't be hurt... it makes no sense. He considers me one of the 'bros' but I'm still here stuck in the past. Please, I really need advice on how to move on officially. I feel like a fool, and I hate that I wished things between us had worked. He was the best I ever dated. I wish I could be more mature about this and forget.

Fear of missing out...?

...See more Hi guys, I wanted to talk about something. I work in a hospital, and I have very few close friends. I'm roommates with one of my best friends, we also have a third roommate whom I barely know. My best friend and I use to go out often, but now he's working and going to school. He barely has time to talk with me or hang out. But he does for other people... I was a bit upset and tried to talk to him about how I felt considering he went out a few days ago with people that WE know and I wasn't invited. He said that it was 'guys night' only. He said that nothing is wrong and that we are fine, but it feels like I'm losing him. I vented to some friends and they said I was being a pick me, that where he goes and who he hangs out with is none of my buisness. So I guess when I have the chance I want to apologize to him for being a pick me and asking too much. I also need advice on how to accept that things are different, and how I can grow from it. -a severely anxious person

God's sign?
Religion & Spirituality / by gentleOak5612

...See more Hey my spiritual friends! I wanted to talk about God, with anyone willing to listen. I was raised catholic but stopped going to church years ago. I always believed in God bur never had a close relationship with him. However, I know he is there. Two years ago, someone I really loved exited my life. I accepted it, and prayed to God for their safety almost everyday. I had wished to be friends with them however I had blocked them to protect myself. Long story short, we have the same friend group. I decided to unblock that person two years later, feeling ready to let them go and let God do the worrying. They CAME back. It was unexpected. But I'm happy none the less. So, I asked God for a sign to PROVE to me that this person coming back was HIS doing. I said "God, if this person is meant to be here, send me a sign. Show me a butterfly. That prayer I made two days ago. Last night I had a dream... I was in a field of flowers. I walked up to a tree with flowers...and could have SWORN there was a black and yellow butterfly. But as I walked around it it seemed that it was an illusion. Like it turned into a flower... Is this a sign? Or am I being delusional... I'm slowly getting g closer to God and trying to trust his process. Any tips would help

Being friends with my ex

...See more So, this is more of a confession. I hope there is someone else who's had this experience, I feel alone on it. About almost 2 years ago, my friends introduced me to some of their friends. My ex was among them. We met, quickly fell and started dating. It lasted about 8 months and he then told me that tmit was all too much for him. He said he wasn't ready, and that we were too different (we were opposites, he was avoidant and I was anxious)but still wanted me to be friends with him. I explained to him that I really enjoyed the time we spent together but that I could not be friends with him because I was in love. I then blocked him, and started dating someone new a few months later. Fast foward, almost 2 years later my friends are having a get together and HE is going to be there. Those friends are now my roommates, so I unblocked my ex thinking that he wouldn't notice or reach out. We'll... to my surprise a few days later he DID reach out. I've been all over the place about it, because I still can't believe it. We talk every few days, which I'm happy for. I've prayed everyday to God for his happiness, I've prayed everyday that he was okay, I've prayed everyday that he and his daughter were happy. I even prayed that God would bring him back to me ad a friend... but I NEVER expected that wish to be granted. I'm suddenly realizing that I very much so still do love him, and I'm slowly accepting the fact that I may NEVER stop loving him. He will always have a place in my heart. I will always cherish what we had. When he reached out he told me it was sweet to see that I'm still a good person, and that he's happy for me for doing better. I still feel the sting, is this normal? Has anyone ever felt this? Why would god bring him back to me...now? After all these years. I want answers but god isnt answering them.
