Fear of missing out...?
Hi guys, I wanted to talk about something. I work in a hospital, and I have very few close friends. I'm roommates with one of my best friends, we also have a third roommate whom I barely know. My best friend and I use to go out often, but now he's working and going to school. He barely has time to talk with me or hang out. But he does for other people... I was a bit upset and tried to talk to him about how I felt considering he went out a few days ago with people that WE know and I wasn't invited. He said that it was 'guys night' only. He said that nothing is wrong and that we are fine, but it feels like I'm losing him. I vented to some friends and they said I was being a pick me, that where he goes and who he hangs out with is none of my buisness.
So I guess when I have the chance I want to apologize to him for being a pick me and asking too much. I also need advice on how to accept that things are different, and how I can grow from it.

@gentleOak5612 aww honey you have the right to feel left out and that your losing your best friend, I think anyone in your situation would💖 unfortunately work, school and life gets in the way and things do change😕 so I say make the most of every minute you do get to spend time with him 💖 gives you a giant tiny hug 💗 we are here for you 💗
I ruined everything I feel... now people think I'm toxic. He probably does too. I wish I was more mature, maybe it's best if I just slowly stay away from everyone and do better so that I don't keep messing up
@gentleOak5612 messing up is all part of life 💖 please don't be to hard on yourself, give yourself some time to calm the thoughts down then you will see that everything is gonna be ok 💖 hugs you tightly 💖

Using the term pick me isn't helpful or fair.
You're human, you missed your friend, not a crime, doesn't make you a bad person or friend, just reach out to your friend, communicate that you would like to hang out at a time that suits, and then leave it to him to respond. We are not always perfect and we all react to things in different ways and feeling left out and navigating other people's feelings and the way they react is part of that 💜🥰
Please don't stay by yourself. Everyone messes up, including your friend. An isolated life is a lonely life. Learn from your mistakes and try again. It will be worth the bravery, and I know you are a brave person. Good luck, I believe in you 🙂
