...See more Hi everyone, It's been a rough week, month, year.... Solo mum with 3 kids, my dad has been living with me since he had a stroke afew years ago, we help each other and it's worked well. Lately he's been really interfering in my parenting and will "overrule" me and decisions I make with my kids. Everyday he picks at them and makes a huge deal out of nothing and my kids and I are now really struggling, I'm getting into alot of heated arguments with him over it. On top of this my brother has been staying here and considering moving in as his relationship is on the rocks, so my dad told him how much board to give me (without asking me how much I need to cover him) and told my brother I will supply his habits out of this amount which leaves me in a worse financial situation than I was already in. I'm not sure what to do, I can't kick them out cause they have nowhere to go, I can't afford to move out myself but I also can't live like this. I feel like I'm about to break and end up hospitalized. Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

...See more I've heard that confronting your abuser can be helpful, I'm at a point where I'm willing to try almost anything.. but I am curious if anyone has had their own experience with this? Did it help or do more harm?

...See more My partner and I have been struggling to connect due to my trauma making physical contact really difficult. We made the decision earlier in the week to just be friends and support each other as best we can that way, since then tho he has suffered a major loss, I promised him he wouldn't have to deal with that loss alone, we could figure us out later but for now I promised I'd support him in any way he needed. He was struggling yesterday and asked to come over (when he's down, being held and shown love helps) in theory I thought that would be OK but as soon as I knew he was on his way, the thought of physical contact and the pressure of him needing to be shown love, became completely overwhelming, to the point I had a full panic attack. I made him turn around and go home and he did, telling me it was OK but I know I've let him down. Today my head is a complete mess, I know he's disappointed and I'm so disappointed in myself that I couldn't put my anxiety aside even for 1 day to make sure he was ok. Now he's ignoring me all together which is fair in all honestly but I'm scared I've completely pushed him away and hurt him even more 😔

...See more When I was younger I had afew situations which left me traumatized, the first was at 12 when I woke to a family friends hands down my pants, the one family member I told made me stay quiet. The second big one was when I had just turned 16, I told him I didn't want to loose my virginity yet (especially considering I had just met him) I kept saying no and asking him to stop, he just kept telling me it's OK and he won't do more than kiss, then won't do more then touch, kept progressing with me begging him to stop every few seconds. After he had started I decided to stop trying to convince him to stop, because a) he had already done it now b) I didn't want to believe I was a victim and c) I didn't scream or fight so I didn't think it counted. These among other situations that I was told to keep quiet about left me convinced that if a guy wanted it, you had to give it... I felt like I had no say over my body. I've always managed to push it all down and just accept it but lately it's really surfacing. I'm in a newish relationship and lately, anything and everything sexual is setting off my trauma, even kissing. he doesn't push me at all but just knowing what he wants and the fact that my body is completely opposing it is taking a massive toll on my mental health. I don't know what started it or why now after so many years but I'm not handling it 😔
