...See more So me (F) and my boyfriend (M) have been together for 2 1/2 years. We’re very secure in our relationship. He was planning on prosing to me in August. Background information, I have a really close friend of mine(F), we’ve been hanging out for 8+ Months, I introduced them to each other because I wanted all of us to hang out and be friends. They started getting close (which is fine, I have full trust in us), but it started getting to the point where it feels as if he is spending more time w her and not me. I asked I’m earlier in our relationship about possibly being poly (I was curious, but not anymore) and he shut it down completely, but now he feels it and I don’t. PROBLEM My boyfriend told me one night he had feelings for her, of course I didn’t know what to think, my future fiancé just admitted he had feelings for another woman. I asked him is he poly, he said he thinks he is, only she has made him feel like this. I want him to be happy, and I never want to change someone to be with me. It just hurts so bad knowing a couple weeks ago, we were planning on getting married, now neither of us know what’s going to happen. He keeps reassuring me that he still loves me, although he keeps saying “things are different now, things won’t ever go back to the they are. This is who I am now” I’m trying to be supportive, but I am jealous of her, it seems as if he doesn’t want to spend time with me. (We live together as well). I feel myself getting angry when I see her now, which isn’t fair because she was a close friend of mine. I don’t want to hurt either one, but my boyfriend said he’s not giving up his friendship w her and whatever else there is. I want to keep both of them in my life. We all 3 have talked about this several times, he likes her, she likes him as a friend, I want to only marry my boyfriend. I want us to work but I don’t know what to do, can there be a monogamous/poly relationship? How would this work, I don’t want to give up everything we worked for.

...See more My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2 1/2 years now and it has been lovely, But recently, I made friends with this girl, and they started hanging out one on one (which is fine by me. ) I never really cared because I had full trust in our relationship. He recently told me that he caught feelings for her and at first I was shocked, but I never want to hold someone back from being who they are; so I said I’d let him try it, I let him know I have no romantical feelings for her at all, if more feelings come up let me know. We got into this massive argument, and maybe I was in the wrong. Maybe I was in the right I really don’t know, but I told him I’m not comfortable with how far this has gotten so fast. For extra detail, he’s saying he has romantic feelings for her, and she has romantic feelings for him, but I don’t have romantic feelings for her at all and that’s not really how a poly relationship works. Time passes and I’m slowly becoming OK with it …. UNTIL this morning… it was just eating me up inside. He said that he still has the romantic feelings for her and she still has those romantic feelings for me and I feel like a third wheel in my own relationship. I told him I can only ever see me marrying you. I cannot marry another person. I thought I was gonna be OK with it. Turns out I’m not and I’m so sorry for letting you on but I only want you. Mind you I’ve known this girl for about eight months and he’s known her for a month and a half and he states that he loves her just as much as he loves me, but he’s not going to choose between either one of us. I told him if I had to choose, I know exactly who I’m choosing and it’s gonna be you not her because I love you and I know I wanna spend the rest of my life with you. I don’t know what to do, any advice would help.

I’m frustrated at everything!!

...See more Okay so, here’s the deal, I’m getting trusted at everything lately! I mean, work, partners, friends, myself, it’s so exhausting and I don’t know what to do! So work wise, I have some really amazing coworkers, I mean truly good people. But lately I’ve been getting so frustrated at everything they do, but I know that’s crazy because they’re working and clients love them. But it’s like whenever they talk to me it fills me with so much rage and annoyance. I love my job (I work in the cosmetology field) and I love my clients and co workers, but I just keep getting angry and mad. Love life time. So, partner is one of the best partners I’ve ever had. They do so much for me and make me feel so loved and cared for, but recently some stuff went down. They had gotten a dog a while ago (about 2 years) and it has gotten so aggressive. He is a Shiba Inu Kiken mix. His mom got it for him and he’s a great dog (was). In the last year, this dog has started attacking my cat, our other dog, and a couple days ago me. I called my partner and let him know. ( now for context I do love this dog, but to an extent, he gets into everything, barks all the time, likes to steal all of our other pets food, bites me and my roommates constantly, and always steals toys from our other animals, so it was a love hate relationship). And he had made the decision for the parents to take the dog back.(My roommates DO NOT like this dog AT ALL). Now that he has made this decision (without my, or anyone’s help) he has been in the really depressed mood (which I understand, you having to send this dog away, it’s going to be upsetting). But the part I’m worried about is that I’m getting frustrated at him for being so mopey. I know that’s awful, and I’m trying to be compassionate and empathetic, but something is just making me resent him for feeling this way. Aside from the dog thing, he sleeps a lot. Like this man can sleep all night, wake up, sleep for 6 more hours, and STILL go to bed early. And it’s making me so angry how much he sleeps. Like I come home from my 9-5 (sometimes my 13 hours) and he is always asleep, I try to text him throughout the day, and he’s asleep. I can’t even call him and ask him what he needs from the store because he’s asleep. It’s so annoying. It’s gotten to the point where no chores are getting done. I’ve talked to him about this as well. I don’t mind if he takes naps, but it’s frustrating when thats all he does. (Note: I thinking this has something to do with the way I was raised. My parents looked down upon resting. I had to be doing something. They would say things like “what have you done to be tired??” “Get up, stop being lazy go do something”. Im trying to be understanding, he works as a coffee shop manager so his shifts are usually like 5:30am-12pm (6.5hours). I just hate that after my long day at work I have to do all the cleaning and laundry. It also hurts sometimes because I’ll want to have a day with him just he will just say how tired he is, and go out with me and then I bad because you can tell he’s tired. Even when I want to stay at home, I’ll let him play his games (it’s our relax time) and once he’s done I’ll try to make conversation with him and he just says he’s tired and “won’t go to sleep) and next thing I know he’s snoring. It’s annoying. Now every time I see him I just get angry and annoyed. I really feel like an awful person, I’m want to be compassionate, I want to empathize, I just can’t and that’s making me frustrated even more. HELPP

Am I in the wrong?

...See more So I’ve been really stressed with a work decision. Context, I work at a Sephora @ Kohls and the store is looking for a new beauty team lead. I had applied (I have worked there for about 6months now) and I had my interview and it went great, or so I thought. Well I get called into the office today to be told I didn’t get the team lead position ,which is fine I understand, but instead of it being a qualified worker from Sephora (example one of my coworkers), he chose a kohls associate with NO makeup experience at all, no manager training, no Sephora training, NOTHING. Now I’ve put my whole heart into this job, I’ve had hours and days, MONTHS of training for this job, I’ve attended meeting after meeting, research after research, I helped set up this store (I mean literally help put together the shelves and products). I wouldn’t be as upset and hurt if it was someone who has experience, and actually wore makeup and new about skincare. (Like I said before, I know some of my co-workers in Sephora applied, if one of them got it I would not be as upset as I am). I’ve had other managers firm around the store tell me “ it’s gotta be you, you’re one of the best,” it’s a surprise to them too!! No one is happy. My boss then told me that he wants to train me up to become the “next team lead I’f anything happens” but I applied for this position twice now (once when I started and now this time). Then he tells me to “take her under my wing and help her learn). I shouldn’t have to train my future Boss. I at least should get paid for it. Why should I have to train my boss who’s supposed to know more than me. I know I’m upset. I’m really trying to let it go, but it’s just getting to me. I don’t know if it’s just built up insecurity, but I’m loosing sleep over this, I’m constantly irritated. I’m really trying my best to be happy for her for getting this new job, but some part of me just won’t let go. Am I over reacting? How do I learn to just accept it and be happy for her?
