I’m frustrated at everything!!
Okay so, here’s the deal, I’m getting trusted at everything lately! I mean, work, partners, friends, myself, it’s so exhausting and I don’t know what to do!
So work wise, I have some really amazing coworkers, I mean truly good people. But lately I’ve been getting so frustrated at everything they do, but I know that’s crazy because they’re working and clients love them. But it’s like whenever they talk to me it fills me with so much rage and annoyance. I love my job (I work in the cosmetology field) and I love my clients and co workers, but I just keep getting angry and mad.
Love life time.
So, partner is one of the best partners I’ve ever had. They do so much for me and make me feel so loved and cared for, but recently some stuff went down. They had gotten a dog a while ago (about 2 years) and it has gotten so aggressive. He is a Shiba Inu Kiken mix. His mom got it for him and he’s a great dog (was). In the last year, this dog has started attacking my cat, our other dog, and a couple days ago me. I called my partner and let him know. ( now for context I do love this dog, but to an extent, he gets into everything, barks all the time, likes to steal all of our other pets food, bites me and my roommates constantly, and always steals toys from our other animals, so it was a love hate relationship). And he had made the decision for the parents to take the dog back.(My roommates DO NOT like this dog AT ALL).
Now that he has made this decision (without my, or anyone’s help) he has been in the really depressed mood (which I understand, you having to send this dog away, it’s going to be upsetting). But the part I’m worried about is that I’m getting frustrated at him for being so mopey. I know that’s awful, and I’m trying to be compassionate and empathetic, but something is just making me resent him for feeling this way.
Aside from the dog thing, he sleeps a lot. Like this man can sleep all night, wake up, sleep for 6 more hours, and STILL go to bed early. And it’s making me so angry how much he sleeps. Like I come home from my 9-5 (sometimes my 13 hours) and he is always asleep, I try to text him throughout the day, and he’s asleep. I can’t even call him and ask him what he needs from the store because he’s asleep. It’s so annoying. It’s gotten to the point where no chores are getting done. I’ve talked to him about this as well. I don’t mind if he takes naps, but it’s frustrating when thats all he does. (Note: I thinking this has something to do with the way I was raised. My parents looked down upon resting. I had to be doing something. They would say things like “what have you done to be tired??” “Get up, stop being lazy go do something”.
Im trying to be understanding, he works as a coffee shop manager so his shifts are usually like 5:30am-12pm (6.5hours). I just hate that after my long day at work I have to do all the cleaning and laundry. It also hurts sometimes because I’ll want to have a day with him just he will just say how tired he is, and go out with me and then I bad because you can tell he’s tired. Even when I want to stay at home, I’ll let him play his games (it’s our relax time) and once he’s done I’ll try to make conversation with him and he just says he’s tired and “won’t go to sleep) and next thing I know he’s snoring. It’s annoying. Now every time I see him I just get angry and annoyed.
I really feel like an awful person, I’m want to be compassionate, I want to empathize, I just can’t and that’s making me frustrated even more. HELPP

Have you considered that he may be experiencing some sort of depression?
many people who can sleep so much are and are not really tired but use sleep as an escape. This may or may not be associated with the dog. Maybe he is not happy with how things are going do you bring your frustration with work home ?
Dogs react to uneasiness and frustration that you say you have been experiencing. they may become super anxious as well... did you ask a vet? there is medications to ease their mood . he just gave the dog back to his parents ... did dogs behavior end when out of that living situation?
also if dog has any issues for example an older dog may get crabby as they have aches and pain in joints and such. maybe you both need a long talk about what you want and share your feelings to let go of frustration..... because frustration in my experience can Infect all parts of your life....
