Bio

Welcome, I am a girl on a mission to help others with a similar story succeed. I too have suffered, and I know honestly what it is like. I am a young autistic woman who was diagnosed in 5th grade.
I want to share with you some moments which have strengthened and shaped me. I was born with hypotonia, and was taught in special education from preschool to fifth grade. So I have always been a fighter. In second grade my two best friends were murdered by their father. This moment shook my childhood but allowed me to be there for my friends when they needed it. I was bullied all through elementary school, culminating with being falsely accused of being a bully myself in 5th grade, and suffering an unjust punishment of serving in-school suspension with the special needs teacher who abused me. For three years, I replayed that moment over and over in my head, trying to figure out what I had done wrong, only for my best friend's mother to hear the mother of my accuser admit that it had all been a rouse to get me out of the mainstream classroom. I was then raped in 7th grade, by a stranger I had met in the library and continued an off-and-on relationship with him for 5 years. This moment still scars me, but I am thankful to the people who helped me get past it. I now have a mysterious fainting disorder, which the docs have yet to diagnose. So yeah, I've been around.
I came to 7cups a couple of years ago when I was suffering with anxiety, suicidal ideation, and heartbreak. And its where I found solace to keep going and met my amazing boyfriend. I know that my story may seem extreme or depressing, so I want to end it on a positive note. Life does get better. I am still dealing with a lot but I also am a successful student with a boyfriend who loves me, and a best friend who has been there through the thick and thin. I am proud of what I have gone through and look for ways to help each and everyday.

...See more Hey So my long distance boyfriend is considering visiting for my birthday in a couple of months, however there is one thing that is holding both of us back. you see 7 years ago i was raped, i was only 13 and i was raped at least 3 times by a stranger i had met at the library. This man had lied to me that he was 17, when in actuality he must have been not less than 27 due to public record searches. This man stayed in my life for 5 years in an off and on again relationship, 2 years in person, 3 years online. He there emotionally abused and manipulated me into thinking that i was worthless and that no man could ever love me. This trauma still effects my ability to trust and my relationships with men. Since, leaving my rapist 2 years ago, I have tried in vain to have relationships with other men. My most recent date was left stunned in the middle of the movie theater when i ran home crying and screaming because i was severly triggered after my date had kissed me. I also cant be approached from behind, without jumping out of my skin, nor can i be touched on my stomach or thigh without unvolentary gaurding. thats why when i realized that i had feelings for someone who lived miles and miles away, i was estatic... as by then most of my triggers that remained were physical ones. My boyfriend has heard me durring one of my flashbacks, most notably when i got a pelvic exam done or on valentines day, when i realized that my rapist hadnt meerly asulted me but penetrated me. 6 months of dating we have gotten really close and i am excited to meet him. he is one of the most supportive men i have ever met and i know that he has my back. But we are both concerned about him trigering me. he even said to me that if he were to visit and i were to get triggered for the rest of the trip he would be afraid to touch me, for fear of upseting me. I too recognize this as a posibility but am also overthrilled with the idea of having him hold me in his arms, snuggleing next to him, and kissing him. We are looking for ways to help me better cope with what happened to me so that i dont have a flashback and can grow past this and advice would be greately appreciated as we want to make the best out of his trip. thanks

...See more hey, I saw this video and it made me think of some of the awesome people in our community. https://www.facebook.com/thefutureisnowbymic/videos/1216499575126739/ I've allways wanted to get a tatoo, and this seems to be yet another reason why i should save up for one. question: have you ever considered getting a tattoo? what would it be of and why? would you consider trying out this new technology?

...See more Hey, Today was really scary, and im still processing, what happened. I had the EMS called on me, after i fainted. I'm really scared, as my boyfriend who is a nurse is quite worried, and scared himself, although I have fainted before he has never used the words "huge problem", "it's serrious" and telling me that i should be concerned. I'm looking for a listener, with some sort of medical knowledge so that i dont have to explain EVERYTHING, and maybe could tell me my boyfriend is being stupid. Thanks Emily Velasquez
