Coolest thing online, this morning
hey,
I saw this video and it made me think of some of the awesome people in our community.

I've allways wanted to get a tatoo, and this seems to be yet another reason why i should save up for one.
question: have you ever considered getting a tattoo? what would it be of and why? would you consider trying out this new technology?
@missingparts
I would get 2 buterflies, one with its wings filled with colorful puzzle pieces, the other a beautiful sunset. these would surround a cross with a crown of thorns, and roses growing up it.
The 2 buterflies would represent the two friends i lost while i was little. The puzzle pieces would represent autism awareness and my dedication to that community, and finally the sunset would not only represent all the things i've gone through, but also rest and sollace. The cross represents my religon, while the crown of thorns represents both christ suffering but also my self harm days, and the roses as my faveorite scent, devotion to mary, and the fact that beauty can be found in suffering. I would proabably get this tattoo on my shoulder so i could see it, but also cover it up if need be.
Wow, that was really neat! I wonder if that will take off.
As to answer your questions:
Have you ever considered getting a tattoo?
Personally, I'd rather not get a tattoo
What would it be of and why?
If I had to get a tattoo I'd get one for Project Semicolon because it's a great cause I'd love to activate for. Altough I'm not a suicide attempt survivor or anything related to that, I love helping people (such as on 7 Cups) through their mental health issues. Having a tattoo of that would be very special to also serve as a reminder to others to lift the burden of stigma that often can affect people with mental (or physical) health issues.
Would you consider trying out this new technology?
Probably not, as I'm just a Teen and don't need to check my blood pressure yet nor have I ran into typical health issues that occur due to aging. I'm also not too fond of tattoos for myself, but I think this would be awesome for those who wish to have a tattoo! Plus I love that it changes colors
I'm never been into tattoos, and with my health conditions I feel like there's too much potention for them being a trigger.
There's the Koebner phenomenon, the potential to trigger an HAE attack from the trauma and possible long term issues due to the ink.
For a biosensor though? If they got one that could track bradykinin levels I would be in! Currently, there are no available tests, so I can't just measure my levels the way someone with diabetes can. I kinda have a biosensor already, it's called a mosquito bite and they have probably saved me from some throat attacks although they are also triggers in of themselves.
I would want to hear more about the safety aspect/potential for allergies first. I would probably have to pre-treat using a short term prophylaxis protocol beforehand. I would want something small, easy for me to check, but not too obvious for others. It would probably take some time to come up with what I would get.
I don't expect this anytime soon though. When I can't even have a test done in the hospital to see if swelling is due to HAE, I'm not expecting something at home let alone being as innovative as a biosensor. Blood sugar has lots of stuff being discussed all the time, bradykinin not so much.
