I NEED HELP PLEASE
Student Support / by sincereKiwi7147

...See more I'm in 10th grade and I have an outrageously high number of absents. I'm very ashamed of it. I know other students skip school because they want to be rebellious or whatever, but I'm actually well-intentioned. I pick up on things pretty fast, even though I'm barely at school. I'm able to confidently take tests and do assignments and achieve good grades. I just have a lot of bad experiences associated with school. (sexually assaulted by a teacher, bullied a lot, etc.) Sometimes I break down and cry when it's time to leave the house. No matter how hard I try to force myself to go to school, my anxiety gets the best of me. I'm already on anxiety meds and my teachers keep trying to encourage me to show up. Does anyone have advice on how I can overcome this problem?

...See more I always eat when I'm stressed or sad, to the point where I'm too full and uncomfortably bloated. I can't stop eating lately because I have so much going on right now. I've gained over 35lbs in just a few months. However, over-eating isn't the only thing I've struggled with. In the past, I've also starved myself for days at a time when I feel guilty about eating so much food. I've been underweight before, I've been healthy weight before, but now I'm overweight.

My Grandma died of liver cancer 😭💔
Grief & Loss / by sincereKiwi7147

...See more My Grandma passed away only 10 weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. It's been almost a year since April 1 2023, the day that she died. What's most painful is the fact that she was with me every day of my life and is now gone forever. My grandma and I had such a strong relationship. She called me "Potatoes" ever since I was little. I asked her why she called me that once, and she said "because I love potatoes and I love you". My grandma has done so much for me and sacrificed so much just to make my life better. When I was suicidal, she saved my life with a phone call and she brought me a whole bag filled with my favourite snacks and goodies. She was a very amazing and selfless woman who loved me and understood me at times where I felt that no one else did. I still haven't processed the fact that she is no longer here, it's like my brain doesn't want me to believe that she's gone forever. Sometimes I look out the window, just hoping to see her pull up in our driveway and walk through the door to give me a nice warm, long, comforting hug and tell me that it was all a nightmare and everything will be ok.

Sweatshirt (original poem)

...See more In summer's heat, she seeks solace, In sweatshirt's embrace, her safe space. Cocooned from within, shielding her fears, Insecure whispers, echoing in her ears. But beneath the layers, lies a fragile soul, Masked by fabric, vulnerabilities untold. Sweating of heat, she hides her skin, in sweatshirt's cloth, she folds within. The words that linger from long before, affect her confidence more and more. Insecurities chase her soul's flame, Covered in doubts, she wears her name. Beneath gray clouds, a delicate grace, Her heart only wishes for a warm embrace. Yet she wears her sweatshirt's gentle touch, finding comfort in this layered crutch.
