Cris Firman, Web Developer and Graphic Designer, focuses on creating high-impact, results driven web applications. An avid Linux Junkie and supporter of OpenSource technology, Cris brings to the table strong coding with a artistic eye. Cris is a dedicated family man to his loving wife Shauna and two wonderful children.
Twisha studied the psychology of help seekers in her Ph.D. research, and loves to find ways to facilitate helping interactions among people. In the past, she has focused on international business operations for various organizations. Twisha is also a trained Kathak dancer.
Laura joins us from the Startup Institute in New York, where she developed a passion for community building. In her previous life, Laura worked in Affiliate Marketing at The Dr. Oz Show. She has a passion for building strong relationships, health and wellness and practices meditation daily.
Heather, our Community Manager, is a great believer in the power of listening and the positive change it can bring about. She is fascinated by the human mind and loves discovering creative ways to educate. Heather is also a pianist and lives in the UK with her three children.
Christian, our Head of Product, has been making online spaces to connect people since he first encountered the internet. He ran the messaging products team at AOL and was most recently director of product at CloudOn. He is the author of The Power of Many and co-author of Designing Social Interfaces. Christian lives in Palo Alto with his wife Briggs and an ever-growing collection of ukuleles.
Ezra acts as a Full Stack Engineer at 7 Cups, bringing his enthusiasm for bleeding-edge technologies to the team. He has spent over a decade fusing a strong background in Computer Science with fast-paced and innovative start-ups. Ezra and his wife Jill are raising their two children on Vancouver Island.
Known on 7 Cups as Iara, Sheenarai is our teen community manager and a firm believer in the power and importance of empathy in day to day interactions. She is very passionate about effective communication. Sheenarai is also a former Law School student living in Puerto Rico.
Lara is a social worker with clinical experience in private practice, community, university and hospital based care. She also has a background in public policy, program management and clinical research. She is driven to develop creative solutions to prevent health problems and to improve wellness. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she can befound hiking on the weekends with her husband and 4 young kids.
Pat studied German and French at Dalhousie University. He is passionate about finding support solutions for mental health and coordinates Organization Support Systems for schools, businesses, and nonprofits at 7 Cups. Pat currently resides in Atlantic Canada and enjoys being by the sea.
Amelia, our assistant community manager, is a licensed psychologist who works as a clinical neuropsychologist in an integrated medical and research clinic. She works with the medical/clinical team to provide consults as well as neuropsychological assessments for patients with Alzheimer’s disease, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, and other medical problems. She has experience working on teams and with individuals to problem solve and improve customer relations. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Rocket, as well as exercising, going out with friends, and visiting family.
Glen Moriarty, Founder and CEO, is a psychologist passionate about the Internet’s power to help people lead better lives. He has been involved in a number of services and organizations that support people in need. 7 Cups of Tea is his most recent endeavor; marrying his background in psychology with his love for technology. Glen lives with his wife, Nicole, and their four children, Colin, Madeliene, Avery, and London.
