Great news - Work tentatively acquired

Hard boundary: Please refrain from asking personal questions. I don't want to be rude but I also don't want to dox myself here.

As perhaps many of you know and/or have experienced, the market is very tough even for entry-level stuff right now.

Add other factors/stressors and whatnot on top of the job search and things become even more difficult -- though the search by itself is already hard enough, for lack of better terms.

It's general labor stuff in a small restaurant and I'm starting part-time and eventually transition to full-time just to get back in the swing of things and being on my feet again. I'm just happy to have some sense of stability/routine again.

The timing works out well too, with my 24th birthday coming up soon.

Hey @comfortingmusician08, congratulations on getting the job!!!🥳 That's great news particularly with how tough the job market is lately. It seems like it had been causing you a lot of stress and uncertainty, so finally having something stable lined up must feel like a relief.

Starting part‑time and easing into full‑time sounds like a really great way to get back into a routine without overwhelming yourself. The general labour in a small restraurant can be such a good environment to rebuild confidence, get moving again, and feel grounded day to day.

The timing lining up with your birthday is really lovely too. It’s like you’re stepping into a new year of your life with something positive already in motion. I’m genuinely happy for you.

Wishing you a smooth start and a bit of peace now that things are settling into place 💜

After careful consideration, I ended up not pursuing this. The search continues.
