Martial Arts, anyone?
Curious if anyone here practices a martial art or dabbles in a few, lol.
I do Wing Chun very casually as a hobby, still very much so figuring things out and not nearly as fluent as what you'll see in that video and many others.
I tried boxing and BJJ in the past but found it to be too fast-paced for my liking.
@Voceamica It just wasn't my thing lol. Ninjutsu + BJJ is a solid combo.
@Voceamica it starts/appears slow to show our attention to detail but it can absolutely be fast when seen/used in context.
@comfortingmusician08 “That’s interesting. So the slowness is more about control and detail rather than actual speed in application?”
@Voceamica Yes, it is mostly for training the details. If you really go down the rabbit hole, there are different lineages of Wing Chun that teach quite differently.
Some lineages are more focused on practical/self-defense applications etc. Others stick to the core and take a traditionalist approach with more emphasis on form/drill details.
