Career-focused and self development for depressed and traumatised people?
Hey guys! I myself am depressed, addicted to porn and weed, and very traumatised for many things that happened in my early life. Still, for a long time, I was very career focused and built a business that worked well for 2 years. After these years depression and addiction hit again and made my business fail completely. This increased my depression, fear, anxiety and addictions or self sabotaging. I’m kinda lost and confused and I’m lacking life purpose. Now I’m in my late 20s, feeling like a complete failure and having lost almost all my friends and acquittances for focusing too much on building a business. If there’s someone in a similar situation, I’d love to connect and support/motivate/coach each other and hold each other accountable. Let’s create a friends group with likeminded individuals! Are you up?
@Hedylamarr Hey…I just want to take a moment to say how much compassion I feel for everything you're carrying. Opening up like this, being so honest and raw about your pain, and reaching out especially after reading all your other posts, truly speaks to your strength. That alone takes so much courage. You might not see it right now, but what you did just now is a huge step. You're choosing to be aware, to acknowledge your struggles, and to seek support and that’s not something everyone can do.
You’ve been through so much, and yet you're still standing. That shows the kind of strength and determination you carry deep inside you, even if it feels hidden right now. Life can be unbelievably tough. Sometimes it throws us down so hard that we feel completely lost, but trust me when I say: it’s often in those dark, rock-bottom moments that we find the strength we never even knew we had.
And I can feel that strength in you. I can feel the part of you that still wants to fight, still wants to grow, and still believes, even if it's just a tiny whisper; that life can be better. And it can. You’re not your addiction. You’re not your trauma. You’re not a failure. You are a human being who is trying and that is more than enough right now.
You’ve already taken the first step by reaching out, and that says everything about your will to heal. Just keep taking one small step at a time. We’re here with you. You’re not alone in this. You are seen. You are heard. You are appreciated. And you are so worthy of love, healing, and happiness. I truly believe that you’ll find your way back and even beyond that, you’ll rebuild something even more beautiful than before. We’re walking this with you. You’ve got this. 💛
