Hey there, I'm hearing you've been feeling like you need more intensive support and feel inpatient may be able to give you this. As an ND female, and just even as a person, I know how intimidating it can be to consider inpatient treatment as an option- so first, I want to recognize how bravely intuitive you are to notice that either your known supports/treatment haven't been enough, or you may be finding yourself in a window of life where- it's difficult to manage on your own which is a completely relatable experience, in everyone's own unique ways. Or whatever it was that sparked your consideration to seek out more care ♥︎ (and please feel welcome to share, if you'd like).
What supports are in your life at this time, or who do you trust to confide in? & What treatment has helped you in the past, what isn't helping now? ♥︎
And, in terms of advice, I would say that the most effective treatment can be given when we're transparent and candid about what we're experiencing. And, as neurodivergent folks, this can be difficult for many of us when we have conditioned ourselves to mask often and, unfortunately, quite well as a means to survive in this society.
If you have insurance or medicaid, you can call them to inquire about inpatient facilities that accept your insurance, or you can call 211/ visit 211.org for resources local to you. Personally, I like to research facilities, even if outpatient, to determine the best chance at finding the best fit for me. Location, services available, etc. ♥︎
If you are in crisis, however, please call 988 or even emergency services like 911 for more immediate care/response. Because you deserve it- you're worth it- and you deserve to give yourself the opportunity to see better and brighter days.
