I'm sorry to hear that. I def can relate, it feels like I should try my best to keep the friends I already made than make new ones. Are you open to being friends with coworkers?
Im open but they are all twice my ages. I have the same age as their children. Im trying my best tho but it doesnt work well

It's the same situation at my workplace too. All the colleagues' children are my age. Then, those who are close to my age, aren't interested in becoming friends. It is difficult to make friends at work, when we're looking for similar aged than ourselves. Unless you work in a company that has the same generation employees, otherwise, we'll have to resort to other places to meet friends.
