Looking for a friend/ friends
Hey everybody, i dont know if this is the right place but im trying to find people with similar interests as me. I have bad social anxiety so its really hard to find people. It seems as if no one has any common interests as me so i get really lonely sometimes and have no one to talk to. Some facts about me are im a 26 year old male and that i love music and chess. I like different types of music but my favorite band/ artist are Paramore and Marina and the Diamonds. Im also into video games and some sports. I know theres a lot more of myself that im forgetting but im not good at thinking on the spot. If you have any questions or want to talk about anything, please feel free to respond. @ScottGambit I love Paramore and Marina. I have social anxiety too. It is a pretty isolating experience. It's tough to put yourself out there but I think it's cool that you're so open about it. I'm always open to talking to like minded people. :)

@raspberryScarf2359 aw thats cute, I'm a big cat person. I also have 2 cats, they're sisters and names are Gigi and Skippy. My one cat skippy was born without a bone in one of her legs so she skips around, it doesnt cause her pain or anything so her name is all in good fun. She also has 2 different color eyes which is very cute. Gigi follows me around everywhere I go and is always there for me for comfort. I love my cats so much

@raspberryScarf2359 I'm pretty sure that they are calicos. I'm not very knowledgeable of cat breeds but I think you're right. But yeah they are cool looking. What breed(s) are your cats? The only other kind I've had were American shorthairs.

@ScottGambit I haven't listened to their really new stuff. When I listen to music I find a few songs and listen to them on repeat. I listen to their old stuff a lot. I like decode and ignorance. What's your favorite Marina song?
@raspberryScarf2359 ah I see, I really like those songs and their old stuff too. I love pretty much every Marina song so it's hard to choose a favorite lol but I would choose Oh No!, Teen Idle, and Happy Loner as my favorites. Her first album holds a special place in my heart. What are some of your favorite Marina songs?
@ScottGambit I love teen idle. My favorite Marina song is probably How to Be a Heartbreaker or Primadonna. Marina's music pretty much got me through high school.
What other music do you listen to?
@raspberryScarf2359 seems like you really like Electra Heart, that's also one of my favorite eras. Other artists I really enjoy are Dua Lipa, Maggie Lindemann, and Kali Uchis. I'm also a big fan of soul music like 60s motown, and 70s disco/funk. What else do you like to listen to?
@ScottGambit I like kali uchis colab with the gorillas and tyler the creator. I listen to a bit of everything, but mainly metal like black sabbath and grunge music like nirvana and alice in chains. what's your favorite 70's disco band?
@raspberryScarf2359 very cool! My favorite disco band would have to be Chic, I really like their sound and bass lines. My favorite disco artist would be Teena Marie, she also has some r&b/soul music and I just love her voice.

Marina and the Diamonds is so good. She has not released a single bad album, although I am very fond of her earlier works The Family Jewels and Electra Heart (I miss the Tumblr era!)

I also forgot to mention that I am also a fellow Paramore enjoyer! All We Know Is Falling is their best album IMHO. I used to dislike After Laughter, but I now view it as an interesting spin from their usual sound-- kind of gives off swan-core or funky rock vibes without the screaming.
*if you are unfamiliar with swan-core, it is a subgenre of post-hardcore music named after Will Swan of Dance Gavin Dance-- basically groovy emo music.
@PopPunkPrincess17 The Family Jewels is actually my favorite Marina album! Lol but I honestly I love all her albums and songs. I feel like I relate to her music more than anyone else's. And for Paramore, my favorite album would be Riot. This is Why is up there for one of my favorites but that could be recency bias haha. And it's really cool to learn about different types of music, I'm very open minded and love hearing new things
