World peace would be nice.
I've been thinking a lot about nationality and racial interactions I have had. I feel like it can be so easy to be sweet to any type of human, but because I am American, I am sometimes met with low-blow jokes. They are usually not even creative, and they do not usually even apply to me as a person, so I find them quite disappointing. So... there is a bitterness growing within me. If they do not insult me and my people, then they express joy in the concept of our downfall. I try not to let it change me, but it is getting difficult to keep my positive view of people who seem to ooze with some weird misplaced superiority over me. I usually find out later that their behavior is an attempt to distract us from their own problems, funnily enough. I do not want them to have problems, but I do not like the superiority complex and the weird petty flexing some people do just because of my nationality or race.
And when a real actual tangible problem gets brought up among me and my foreign friends and my elder friends alike, they just tell me to fix it myself. But I cannot, even though I wish I could. I cannot fix the world's problems. Most of them started before I was born anyway. I cannot even fix my own personal problems alone.
If I were like them, who enjoyed making fun of or putting down their foreign friends for country-wide or world-wide problems, then I could say such nasty things. But I am not like them. So I won't. That doesn't mean I have endless patience, though. Don't test me, please. I want to remain gentle. I hate when I get mean...
@BusyBird
I agree, I'm glad I live in a country where we are neutral.
The world would be a better place if we all just supported one another , fighting brings nothing but despair 😔💙
