Feeling trapped

Been in a relationship for 9 years now! Like every relationship we have our ups and downs. However the last 2 years have been the worse, so bad that I sleep downstairs on the couch in our living room.

im at my wits end and don't know what to do any more, when we agreed to move back in together we agreed that he would pay for rent and insurance of vehicles I paid all utilities. Mind you he made more $$ than I did! Well he had some health issues come up and we argued till he finally went to a dr, while I was away for work he calls to tell me he quit his job!! The amount of pressure and stress that alone has put on me some days I don't know how I'm not screaming on the inside!! I figured ok sure he will look for something else, all along I've been sitting here last 2 years trying to figure out how to leave because not happy only to feel like I'm stuck since he quit as I now have to pay everything!!!

we find out from dr that there is no chance of him going to work he is disabled, he can't sit for more than 30 mins at a time he can't walk for more than 30 mins at a time and he can't stand for more than 30 mins!! The damage he has to his body is permanent and unrepairable so now I really feel like I'm trapped!! I don’t know what to do

@Lexigurl87

I am so sorry to read about your predicament seems odd how did a illness or injury come on suddenly or was this a progressing issues ... i knew a person who had a back injury and then ended up in the same type of condition of limitations on sitting / standing and so forth.

Has he have any option such as disability pay possibilities. it is clear with one income you need to be the one to step up and make decisions and cuts if necessary ....

now if the relationship is or has failed ... i do understand the terror or being forced into nursemaid to someone who i no longer feel connected to perhaps you should explore all your option and be honest about how you feel ........... while some may look disapproving until they walk in your shoes they have ZERO understanding

@Lexigurl87 I'm sorry this happened to you it sounds so stressful.

If he is on disability then he should be receiving a monthly check, yes?

Also, he should be eligible for discounted/ Section 8 housing, and also probably food stamps?

If you get him set up with the right resources then he will not be homeless if you decide to leave.
