Friends with benefits

So I’m in I guess it’s called “situationship” or friends with benefits. I have known this person my whole life, he is a friend of my brothers. We do not only hook up but talk to each other daily whether it is by text or phone call (mostly phone call), we hang out and talk after hooking up and we have been talking to each other for 2 months but the hooking up has only been happening like the last two weeks 1-2x/week. We both ended relationships recently also, me a 12 year relationship that was awful which ended beginning of May and him a 4 year marriage in April (divorce final in June) that was as equally terrible. I feel like we are definitely more than just friends but not relationship. We both have our own issues regarding relationships right now but I’m wondering if anyone thinks it could develop into something more in the future?

This is a lot more than friends with benefits.

Also it looks to me that maybe someone or both of You have caught feelings. I think it would be good to keep it out and above board to talk to him about what U want and hhear what he wants in his life. It could be ya'll are just hanging on to one another for rhe security you both have needed with what you both have been going through.

Also the friend with benefits substation never works out becuase someone always catching feelings or already has them. But reguardless of how U feel the best thing is to start loving and helping yourself. Love yourself and things start falling into good places for U. If U can keep yourself safe and secure then whom ever comes along to share in your life. Will not have to be pulling out stone foundation's that U are firmly standing on. They can stand beside you on the firm Foundation U are stand on and U both can grow together from there.

Love yourself first and great things will be there for U.S.

You are worth everything U give out.

I would talk to him, lay it all out. But I’m a risk it all type person! The possible outcomes vary greatly, from it turning into something more, vs. it ending things for both of you.

i have never had one of these relationships, mostly because the sexual aspect doesn’t do much for me, and the emotional aspect (what I’m looking for) is usually left out completely. But I see the need for Others in this situation.

i wish you the best in whatever comes of it!

Have to agree with havens post a lot but add that if you two really feel more then go for it. Life is short you’re not getting married again anytime soon and the two of you can help one another in your day to day lives and have good sex too without the commitment that’s great if the two of you agree to it. Other than that not sure what you and him are ultimately looking for.

I think it could. But you might wanna wait for a while before you make a decision. You're both quite vulnerable right now and it's common to misunderstand how you're really feeling. Even talking about it may help. Either way, hope things work out for you. Whatever makes you both happy ❤️

I’ve always been taught that it’s safe to stay away from rebound “relationships” after a horrible break up because it just becomes a vicious cycle. PLEASE be careful!

So since posting this before things have somewhat changed, we talk everyday, he has told me he misses me, likes me and thinks about me. I’m trying to figure out if I’m either thinking too much into it or if he really has feelings for me. Any advice?
