Not doing good

Hello everyone I just need to vent if that's ok. My 14 year old daughter has been disrespecting me and her nana by leaving without permission and gone 2 or 3 days then came home and packed all her and said I'm staying with her friend. And she won't wait to do the emancipation for minors . I feel like I have failed as a parent. Thank you for letting me vent.

@rj385 Hi! I hope you are doing well. I am really sorry to hear that you are struggling with your daughter. Was there something specific that happened that caused her to want to move out? I understand having a relationship with a teenager can be difficult, but maybe you could sit down with her and talk things out. I hope everything works out. We are here for you ❤️

HiRj,

You have not failed as a parent teenagers are hard because they sometimes want to live their life and venture out. We were their age at one time. I am here for you if you need a shoulkder and ear to lean on.

Keep doing the best you can as a parent ❤️

@rj385 Hello, I hope you're doing better now. What I would suggest doing in this situation is just talking with your daughter. There might be some issues she's struggling with internally or problems she's dealing with that causes her to act in this way. By talking with her, you might be able to understand more from her perspective and vice versa. Good luck, hope everything goes smoothly for you!

Wow, that sounds like a really hard situation. Ik you don't know me but I am also 14 and I don't know your daughter but sometimes we need to feel like we are loved, don't get me wrong that is no excuse to go live at her friend's house all I am suggesting is maybe try to find time in the week to go get icecream or go do something you both enjoy. Hope this helped, again not trying to make you feel that you need to do that just a suggestion.
