Anyone else here always excluded by ‘friends’ for being single and/or not having kids?

I would question those friendships if they always exclude you 😅? I suppose you are the only single and person who do not have children in your group?

Maybey you could try to make new friends who are more keen to include you for you and not your marital status? 😊

@maturesoul I think that happens sometimes. I remember my social circle changed when I had kids, suddenly it was all kid and baby orientated and that does seem to change people. Polahn is right though, being single and childfree means you can do things others can't, but there is a time when these things change and settle. It is also like a feeling of loss for those friendships past?

@maturesoul

Yes, I can relate! Sometimes it also does feel as though people look down on you for not following the "normal" path in life.

While I understand kids change things, I also feel as though if someone values you, they will still work on the friendship. For example, one friend I had got married and basically vanished off the face of the planet. Meanwhile another friend is a father to a toddler, but is constantly arranging gaming nights for our friend group.
