I don't think I can win over my depression

I depression has gotten worse over the years. I tend to self isolate and don't know how to share my thoughts anymore verbally and I have pure anxiety of being seen so I haven't left my house in a while. I have a bit of a gripe for therapy because changing my mindset to think happy thoughts is not a switch I can flip. I'm at the point where I'm not looking to go to eternal slumber but if someone offers I'm not going to fight it

@Deepfry: Talk to someone about this who’ll support you and help you without any criticism or judgement like someone you trust such as as family member or friends.

In addition to that, please talk to a therapist whether you already have or haven’t.

I’ve been told by people who I’ve helped or who have spoken to me about their problems that I’m a great listener, supporter and helper. Very reliable, respectful, responsible, responsive, honest, caring, no criticism or judgement either so I’m willing to work with you if you wanna try me out :)

@Deepfry

The thing is people are always telling you to fight and its exhausting

I don't think it is a fight, more like acceptance

I agree therapists are not much use because all they have is this positive "program" and if you don't jump on that program they have nothing else..

I agree I'm on the same boat I hope you get better it's all in our head I don't do much all day when I'm around people I feel disconnected. I talk really negative to myself.

Have you found a way around it? That disconnect makes it really hard to be around people whether it's social or work related. Though I don't want to be alone it just feels like I should be. R.I.P friendships
