Revenge?

I’ve talked a little bit about my husbands emotional affair. When I discovered it a year and half ago, I was furious. I reached out to my best friend. We’ve been friends since 5 and we are 40 now. She’s been through every season with me. But we live states away from each other. We contacted the affair partners mother, cousin, anyone we could find who knew her and told them what she did. It was a pain reliever in a time I was in so much pain.

Recently, I’ve come to find out that she has a boyfriend and he was with her during the time of the affair. He had moved away from his family in Texas to Ohio to be with her.

I’m torn if I should reach out to him and tell him? It’s been a year and half, but also feel like he should know the person he is with? Especially if he plans on having marrying this person in the future. But it also feels like maybe I should leave it alone and hope that karma pays her a visit. I don’t know if i want to open the wound again.

What would you do?

I wonder if the people saying “leave it alone” have been cheated on because I’m pretty sure everyone who has been cheated on and found out would suggest saying something

This doesn’t seem to be driven by the same thing as before when you wanted to get revenge (which was valid). This isn’t you reaching out to her friends and family to expose her because you were hurt, this is you knowing YOU were hurt and wanting to spare someone else from being hurt. Esp if they, like you said, decide to marry her.

I was cheated on loads by someone years ago and one of the women he was cheating on me and I got to talking (I found her after some digging) and she basically was like “oh yeah I thought about warning you but then didn’t put in the Energy to find you again” and I was GUTTED

She could have saved me YEARS of pain. Because he was emotionally abusive and gaslighting me, I suspected he was cheating but had no proof so I kept thinking I was insane and abusive for being distrusting. I eventually realized that I had never been a jealous or distrusting partner and that the fact I was suspicious was enough for me to end things with him. Literally hours after I broke up with him I found out about his cheating. He was cheating on me with SO many people. And I started reaching out to them to figure out the Timeline and of course he was with them when he was supposed to be exclusively with me

Anyway sorry that was a ramble but my point is, I think you should say something. Maybe you are her karma.

And being careful how you broach the topic is important. You don’t want him to get defensive or aggressive but I really feel like you sound concerned for him, not after revenge, so I say be open, speak from your Heart and just let him know you mean it to be a helpful warning so he doesn’t waste Time or get hurt even more down the road and be careful not to give personal info. If he gets mad, then at least you tried to help and you can sleep soundly at night

Wishing you luck!

I agree with you. whoever says to leave it alone either has never been cheated on...or maybe has been the cheater themselves. I would hate to just blindly live with a cheater like some chump

@frankSummer9049 Leave it alone. I wouldn’t get myself wrapped up in the negativity. Continue moving forward. Karma is real. You got this!
