If someone offered you a pill and said "You will lose you memory of bad things that happened to you, you will forget about relationships and people that hurt you, and you will get to start a new life somewhere else without those memories" would you take that pill?

I would take it. Yeah, I might make the same mistakes or end up in a relationship that hurts me anyway.. But then I may not. You never know.... @zeetee17 I would love for you to message me so we can discuss why you wish you could have that choice. Not to judge you of course

@zeetee17

nope. I would think about the Garth brooks song, The Dance and a verse he sings rings truth..."Im glad I didnt know, the way it all would end, the way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance. I would have missed the pain, but I'd of had to miss, the dance"

I guess the very nice movie "Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind" tries to answer exactly the same question. My answer is no. But I would very much like to have a pill that magically enables me to accept all my experiences that makes me what I am now, good and bad.

Yes I would. Everything just hurts so much I just want all the pain to go away. If I could I would leave everything behind. I have less and less spirit to just go through the motion of life. I’m tired.

I wouldn't. I love the idea of starting fresh in a new place, but I would like to have all my life experiences. They will help me avoiding mistakes in my new life which I had committed in my previous life

No i think i don't take it yes if the past is so horrible and painful i would recommend to use this pill but without pill is better because we learn from our past

Not even maybe! As harsh as it is, all our hurt, our happiness, our experiences; they made us who we are today. Made us more wise. Stronger. I wouldn’t wanna forget who I am.

Deleting the memories won't do much if I don't delete the effects of trauma as well. And even if it was, I would have to figure out all from the start I have disabling ADHD and autism and also celiac disease, I can forget the trauma about those, but I can't run away from them. Best thing would be a pill to go back in time a few decades knowing what I know now
