Anyone here dealing with physical insecurities
I was 34 years old when I lost my left arm.
My life completely changed.
Physically, mentally.
The Phantom nerve pain is exhausting.
I'm anxious when I leave my home people who stare make it so uncomfortable .

I wish people wouldn't gawk at you, that's pretty lame. A person with a disability is a real person not a circus performer.
I just want to say i value you and i bet alot of people reading this value you too.. . Please don't let others define you, you deserve better! 🌲
Just remember that a tree without leaves in autumn is still full of life, and people can see that despite the change. Don't let their stares make you forget who you are. I know it will be difficult, but even if you feel like this change has been a bad thing, remember that people are defined by who they are and what they do, not by how they look. I wish you the best.

Hi.
I'm so sorry for your loss of an arm. I also fully understand how uncomfortable and distressing it is to receive curious stares from those around you. Not just you, but anyone with a physical defect or differences has to endure those looks, sometimes even mockery. Those feelings are truly not easy to accept and overcome.
I don't know the circumstances that led to you losing an arm, but I believe that you, like others with physical disabilities, are exceptional special - chosen by the universe to receive a difficult lesson and challenge, because not everyone is capable of learning such a harsh lesson. Once you are chosen, it means the universe trusts that you can do it and complete the lesson well.
Wishing you to always stay strong, believe in yourself and the universe, remain courageous, and be surrounded by lots of love.
That's rough. I feel self conscious too at times. I try to think of it as most people are busy occupied with their own stuff to focus on me.
I just stick earbuds in and play loud music, I become oblivious to people and then while waiting for the bus, I'm gaming on my phone.
If they want to gawk like I'm a unicorn, that bad manners is on them. I'm just doing my own thing, minding my own business.
Although sometimes when I'm mischievous I stare at them directly, making them uncomfy.. I wasn't always a saint 😇😂
