Can I get some opinions?

So I have a best friend right? We have been besties since we're were 5. But we ended up going to different highschools. I don't expect her to keep to herself and not make friends obviously, but it seems she has made a lot of very good friends. In my opinion, a "friend" is someone that I would talk to outside of school and not only about school work. But that's all I talk about with my fellow aquaintances at the moment and we only talk at school. So it feels like I don't have friends at all except for her. So we live in a small country. I look at her status and she always posts pics of her going out with her friends and meeting up and having fun. She's never invited me to go out with her, but I'm glad that she's happy with her current friends. We won't talk much if I don't send a text first though...she's always online but hardly ever texts me on her own. I guess I'm a bit jealous? The last time we facetimed was more than a year ago...I feel like if I were to ask to go out with her( most likely her new friend group would be there ) maybe it would be awkward? And I would be the thickest one amongst them if I went so when I even think about that I feel like maybe I just don't belong among them? So I just spent every weekend at home but I don't really like being a loner though... The people I talk to at school, we only talk at school and about school.. that's not enough to call them friends... Anyways I'm done ranting, can someone give any input or opinion or anything? I'm new to this app btw
